Surprise! You’re 6 year old wants to go back to nursing? Is it normal?

OK so you thought you were done breast-feeding and all of a sudden you’re older child decides to want to go back to the breast when they are not feeling well. Is this normal? Let’s find out!

Many studies are being done at this time about extended nursing well past the age of two. More and more health benefits are being proven with extended nursing. It IS completely NORMAL for your six-year-old to want to go back to breast-feeding after a long pause.

If they ask for some breastmilk or ask to breast-feed, there is nothing wrong with offering them breast or allowing them to breast-feed, especially when they are sick and not feeling well because breastfeeding the child after the age of two during times of crisis or times of illnesses, fevers and more can actually help the child get better faster and feel more comfortable during these times.

Did you know that breast-feeding a child who has a sore throat can actually help coat their throat and help with the pain? Did you know that breast-feeding can actually help with tooth pain from teething? Breastmilk is not only liquid gold; It is a great form of medicine that nature has created in the mothers body in order to care for their children.

As long as the mother is healthy, eating a healthy diet and not taking any medication‘s that do not coincide with breast-feeding. It is totally OK to breast-feed your six-year-old that decided to ask for the breast again.

I am here to encourage you to breast-feed your child for as long as possible to give them the greatest health benefits possible from their own mother, human milk for human children.

A big question I am asked is how long is too long? In my opinion a child should breast-feed for as long as the mother and the child are willing to breast-feed for.

As long as you would be willing to give your child milk from another animal, that child should be able to nurse off its mama.

I think that we should bring back wet nursing, and even make it normal and accessible for the elderly and people who are in the hospital going through surgeries or other ailments to have access to breastmilk in order to heal faster.

Many studies these days are being done on the benefits of breast milk for adults. Wouldn’t it be nice to get rid of animal milk and only have human milk available in stores for human consumption? The world would be a lot healthier place!

I choose to give my daughter’s breast milk and sustainable plant-based milk if I’m unable to produce enough for their cereal and such.

Long live the mother, long live the family, long live the human creating human milk for humans!

Whether or not you were able to breast-feed I hope that you and your family live long healthy lives!

I recently donated some of my original pumped milk freezer stash to a research center! I’m so excited to find out all of the things that they are going to share with me about my breastmilk! Due to a nondisclosure agreement, I can’t say the name of where I sent it, but I can tell you the outcome which is coming soon here to my patreon page!
