No but I didn’t have a lot of help since hubby works all day. Was tough. My girls adore their father and he’d carry them around and play pattycake and sing songs to them. He speaks Spanish as well so they were always fascinated by the two different people speaking differently to them. When my second was first born I was constantly pumping too so I had a freezer stash and she’d only take a bottle of it was breastmilk she hated formula. My first was a complete opposite and loved formula and the bottle but not really wanted to breastfeed. The two experiences being so diverse I wanted to share and help and give tips for other mommies and families especially when my first went back to breastfeed after second was born. I was so happy I could give her all the antibodies she missed out when she was so little. She did breastfeed and we gave it our best shot but she was given formula in hospital against my wishes and it stuck. She barely breastfed. It was difficult because that can also bring on PPD for some women. There are so many challenges that come with breastfeeding but so many rewards for the health of the child. I also see a big difference in milestones and brain function between the two!

Totally agree with everything you said I think as human beings we should only drink are own milk because it was made like that it’s the best source for everything you need and thank you for answering me really appreciate that when they were small was it more hard for your husband to take care of them because you breastfeed them meaning that probably only wanted you

To answer your question about trying to take her off the nipple I’m just trying to partially wean her where she drinks all of her milk only in the morning and at night before bed that’s partially weaning I’m trying to redirect her when she is wanting to drink during the day as she would only nibble for a few minutes and get a little bit of milk. I definitely have an abundance of milk so it’s definitely not just for comfort although there are times when she will suckle drink a little milk and then sit there for a minute and just chill and then she’ll suckle some more milk out those are times I think it’s for milk and comfort whearas in the early morning it’s pretty much her breakfast milk and there’s a much deeper suction to extract the morning milk which is said to be the most abundant and healthiest time to nurse the baby at the age that she is.

That’s a good question actually. As far as not as hungry it’s the same as if you drink a glass of milk are you as hungry? It’s just human milk rather than an animals milk. When a mother gives birth cow sheep dog human etc that mothers milk is made for her own species and her own babies. In my opinion it is more natural for a mother to give breastmilk to another human baby not give her baby milk from another animal babies mother. When we drink cows milk or sheep goat milk whatever we are taking milk from their babies when we don’t need to because we make our own for our own babies. Children for many years drink milk and I believe that it should be species specific as nature intended nature did not intend for us to drink cows milk or goats milk intended intended for us to drink our own mothers milk. I think drinking anything with calories would make a baby not as hungry but my children eat well either way. She definitely gets a lot of milk out of my breast they get really full and don’t feel full at all after she is done nursing she gets most of her milk first thing in the morning in our dark room when we first wake up and we get lots of cuddles I don’t usually have my phone available or lights on to be able to catch that first morning moment though as it is nice to have some just me and baby time to bond with her without any electronics in our face. Dad leaves for work really early in the morning and we tend to wake up a little later in the morning.
