Of course the first food of the day is the breastmilk! Breastmilk is the only thing your baby needs till at least 4-6 months old or until your pediatrician advises differently. Once your baby has started solids though you can be creative and fun with food to keep a toddler healthy and interested in good wholesome foods! I always like to breastfeed first thing in the morning and then brush everyone’s teeth and head to kitchen for breakfast. (Technically breastmilk breaks the fast “breakfast”) today I made my toddlers an omelette packed with heart healthy chopped power greens scrambled into eggs with cheddar cheese melted with a side of sliced strawberries. This delicious breakfast packs a powerful punch of vitamins protein and fiber that even picky eaters will enjoy! Adding multigrain pancake slices beans whole grain toast sticks dry low sugar cereal etc adds a good healthy grain as well. I feed my kids a variety of foods throughout the day with all different colors to add all of the different vitamins into their diet. eating a rainbow is not only healthy but fun for them served up on a festive holiday plate my girls really enjoyed their breakfast today and I wanted to share it with you!
