What we had for lunch...

I made a quick and easy lunch of langostinos, garlic cloves, rice and leafy greens mix with spinach, chard, and kale. Please make sure that your child is not allergic to shellfish of any kind before serving this dish what I wanted to share with you was how I prepared this dish for each individual child and myself. For myself I left the leafy greens fully intact and raw. Raw vegetables yield the most nutrients and they don’t digest as sugar or lose the nutrients as they can when cooked. I cooked the langostinos in light olive oil butter with the garlic cloves. I left out the save and only ate the protein and garlic cloves. For both girls I chopped up the greens and lightly cooked them to prevent a choking hazard. I left centella with langostinos and garlic fully intact. For the baby I chopped and mixed the veggies protein and rice. Centella is almost 3 the baby is 1. A child under three has the potential to choke on a lot more than a child over the age of three so for children under the age of three that have difficulty swallowing I suggest always chopping up the food in tiny pieces in order for them to safely swallow the food. Babies who don’t know how to crush food with their teeth or jaw I recommend puréeing whatever food that you are preparing as long as your baby does not have any allergies to the meal and is of the solid food eating age of at least 4-6 months old. Always speak to your pediatrician on when the best time is to start giving your baby solids. introducing your child to a variety of vegetables fruits and other foods at an early age is a wonderful way to keep them from becoming a picky eater also what mommies eat goes into their breastmilk so the more veggies you eat the more veggies it is likely your child will develop a taste for.
