Dream Cathedral Project File - Download

Hey, friends! It's been a while! Sorry I've been inactive recently - I'm in the process of editing 2 TV series for NASA's newest streaming platform, NASA+ (trailer here: https://youtu.be/RrlDv-ts2f0?feature=shared). 

Also, I've been working to prep for the sample return from an asteroid with the OSIRIS-REx mission: https://www.nasa.gov/osiris-rex. You can tune in live at 10am eastern on September 24th to watch me on our live broadcast!

Space Lounge Project File

Aaaand here's one more file for you to download and play around with! I modeled this little space lounge and filled it with some fun objects. It's a cozy, relaxing dreamscape perched high out in space :)

Feel free to play around with the colors of the velvet texture I created - it yields some great results! The only thing I couldn't include in this project file were the palm trees you see around (those are paid assets from a pack)

Hi, friends! Thanks so much for your patience on here, and I sincerely apologize for my inactivity on here recently! It's been an incredibly busy year, and I was tapped to be the showrunner for several documentary TV series and have been working on quite a few big freelance projects - this has taken up a lot of my time and energy, so I haven't been able to focus as much on developing additional content for here on Patreon. 

I'm finally able to get my head back up above water and update on here - I have a few project files I'm preparing to upload on here, and I also wanted to put out feelers on a few video ideas for you. I was thinking of starting a weekly series where I review your art and give you feedback/tips to improve your work. If you feel comfortable sharing your content, please send me a message either through here or over email at james.tralie@gmail.com. I'm working to get a discord going to make it a bit easier to share content and get feedback from not only me, but the other folks on here as well. Excited to keep growing this community and see all the amazing art you create :)

Pool with Caustics - File Download

Hi, friends! Blender finally has caustics enabled!! I created the scene you see above using the caustics in Blender and wanted to share the water texture, pool model, and pool ladder model with you on here. I don't include the nature assets since they were paid, but the pool elements should give you a really strong jumping off point for your own projects. Enjoy! :)

Dreamy Mountain - Project File and Displacement Map

Hi, friends! Here's a .blend file with this scene - I created the mountain displacement and the texture in World Creator and brought it over into Blender. This will only work in Cycles with experimental mode since I use the displacement map within the texture itself. I did some tweaking in photoshop (mainly changing out the BG and adding in some little cloud scatter), but everything else is right there for you! Enjoy :)

Waterslide Model

Hey, friends! I'm slowly building up an asset library of waterpark-like models to add to my scenes. I make a lot of lazy river scenes, but have been wanting to add to the waterpark aesthetic! Enjoy this first model of a slide, complete with a nice, glossy plastic material and little metal screws to hold the slide together! Beach 3D Scans Set - Version 1

Hi, friends! Here is a .blend file with 6 high resolution scans I took on the beach. You get some cool stuff in here, including some wooden posts, a horseshoe crab, a boat, rocks, and a dead tree. I plan on doing lots more of these scans. To create these, I used an iPhone13 with the polycam app. It was really fun putting these together! Enjoy :)

Vaporwave Architectural Visualization - Project File

I had to remove the tropical plants since they are paid assets, and I swapped out a few of the quixel textures with ones from cc0textures. Otherwise, the scene is exactly the same! For a lot of the interior elements (like the bed, chairs, table, and whiskey glass) I used assets from the Blenderkit add-on. Enjoy! :)
