Woke up this morning and made my girls an olive oil broccoli spinach and egg scramble. I’m allergic to eggs so I ate shrimp which is low mercury fish full of omegas which is wonderful for brain health for myself and my breastmilk. I also loaded up on a bunch of raw spinach then we all ate some Rainer cherries which I depitted. (Cherry pits are poisonous ☠️ so always be aware not to allow children to ingest these) also make sure to give smaller bite sized pieces to avoid choking. I allow myself two packs of espresso coffee which is exactly 150 milligrams of caffeine. Each packet is 75 milligram. The allotted caffeine intake for a breastfeeding mother should not exceed 300 milligrams per day. I honestly don’t know what I would do without coffee I’m living on very little sleep and very little energy coffee really helps me conquer the day with these two little ones! Gimme gimme gimme that coffee mug! When it’s time for a nap the baby gets the breast and the oxytocin kicks in.
