Since 2016 in particular, we've all been subjected to countless "Simpsons predicted it" headlines, and we felt that after President Trump, the COVID pandemic, and so much more, it was time to get to the bottom of it. Listen along to learn the history of it, as well as a special video message from Bill Oakley (former Simpsons executive producer/current leader of SteamedHamsSociety.com) as we dig into the show's many predictions!

Every time I see one of these Simpsons predicted articles its always a case of history repeating itself in some ways. Trump running for office has been a thing since the 80s. The closest he got before 2016 was in 2000 when he ran for the reform party nomination but dropped out early in the primary stage. Killer bees were a thing back in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. My point in all this is all those articles are usually written by someone who was too young to remember certain things or weren't even born yet.

2023-02-01 16:54:44 +0000 UTCi do the Frank Grimes 'screaming while gripping my hair' every time I see one of those Simpsons predicted it! images go viral using art that is very clearly not in line with how the show actually looks and features something so ludicrously specific in the news like Jan 6 or George Floyd. And people fall for it!
