Talk to the Audience?!? Episode 28
Added 2019-09-27 22:23:17 +0000 UTC
September comes to a close, and that means it's time again to reflect on Simpsons news with our lovely community on Patreon! We talk about Emmys, Yeardley Smith, a disappointing Phil Hartman documentary, and more news, plus a fun preview of what content we're putting out next month, AND we respond to some of our favorite comments. Listen now!
The entire series is (officially?) uploaded in HD on Youtube, so it's super accessible.

That's so crazy that you went right to Untalkative Bunny, because that was one of my favoufites! I haven't been able to find any DVDs or anything of it, but I've got some oooooold mpeg rips of episodes. It was great, I wish more people could see it.

re: Teletoon's positioning as the late 90s/early 00s Canadian equivalent of Cartoon Network...
Teletoon was a big part of my early adolescence, and since it was a platform to show Canadian-produced animation, it featured some real gems (Cybersix) and some turds (Donkey Kong Country).
I'm only now realizing that not everyone grew up with Teletoon, and such, would like to suggest a cursory web search of Teletoon hits for anyone who did not experience them. There's bound to be at least a few interesting and worthwhile works to be found.

If you were wondering how far The Simpsons has slipped, they just said the three greatest basketball players are Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant.

I always look forward to the end of the month when it comes to this podcast cause a lot of episodes come out at once! Also, I hope Monster Inc wins; I don’t think TS has done a Pixar film yet?

Canadian here! Where I lived, Cybersix aired on Teletoon. The only people I knew around here with Cartoon Network were the ones who had satellite and could get the American version. There is definitely a Canadian Cartoon Network nowadays, even though Teletoon shows a lot of the same things...but I guess on CN they don't have to share time with Teletoon originals and shows acquired from elsewhere? Maybe? Cable TV doesn't really make any sense anymore.

Our local mall, Washington Square, is active and thriving too and according to Wikipedia is "one of the top grossing malls per square foot in the United States, with sales of $716/ft²."

Thanks Henry for the review of the Phil Hartman special. I was on the fence about watching it. I think I’ll skip it due to the true crime angle and of course Andy Dick.

As a HUGE Wallace and Gromit fan since childhood, I'm so happy that Curse of the Were-Rabbit is among the choices for the What A Cartoon movie's poll... but I ALSO love Nightmare Before Christmas and Monster's Inc... man this poll's gonna be tricky in terms of choices, you made some great picks!

Thanks for reading my comment! A little correction, the Hitler joke occured during the first airing and they did cut it in subsequent airings in part due to Columbine.
