Unfortunate art emergency situation
Added 2020-03-26 06:48:04 +0000 UTCThis day has been a long one coming, but the drivers I was using for my Yiynova tablet finally stopped working. It's been 2 years since Yiynova put out a new driver for my model, so I am pretty certain that they are not going to be supporting it anymore. None of my old workaround tricks that I used to depend on work anymore after Microsoft issued a stealth update for Windows, and I have made the extremely hard decision to drop down several hundred dollars for a new tablet with expedited shipping.
I will not lie, the timing on this is really bad. Lancer launches in a week and I was hoping I would have a much larger page buffer than I currently do, and I still owe you guys several drawings this month. I do still have my old Wacom Intuos from college, which I am going to try and get at least some work done with until my new Huion Kamvas Pro 20 arrives, but until then the screenless Wacom is all I've got. Going back to it sucks, but it's all I have right now so I am going to at least try.
Patreon rewards for March are going to be late. If by the end of the month I don't think I'll be able to finish them by the first week of April, I will decide whether or not to suspend pledges until the new tablet arrives. I greatly appreciate how much support you guys are giving me but I also want to be fair to you and give you what you are paying for, even though this is not a situation I was expecting to find myself in.
I also want to emphasize that Lancer's launch is not getting pushed back. It's still going to be up and running on April 4th as planned, because the art is ready to go. There might be a delay in getting the next page for it out after launch, but I'm okay with that.
Again, thank you so much for your support. I will put in my best effort to keep things moving while I wait for the Kamvas Pro to arrive, although getting used to drawing on a regular Wacom will not be easy. I will probably also be looking into doing more commissions soon to pay for the new tablet, although I am expecting the Wuhan virus to make that difficult since there is less money to go around.

Nothing is as painful as the familiar things in your hand are ruined. And as I've written down before, health comes first. Accidents that can happen, and sudden viruses. If you choose which one is better, you can see it as the former. It is satisfactory just to upload steadily. Watch out for viruses ~
