October will be a catch-up month

I will starting up the September polls shortly and you guys should be able to start voting on Tuesday, however due to my current workload I will be taking a pause from the polls in October to catch up, so if you want to make any Halloween themed sketch suggestions or color nominations this will be the time for it. I'm currently working on a few owed Patreon pics but I also have some finished pieces that I'll start posting soon, since a few months ago I took a couple commissions to make up for a disruption with my non-art job. I'll be posting the suggestion and color nomination posts today!

The Royal Bath of Bastet

So, this was the first go at the previously posted suggestion which, as I mentioned, kind of took on a life of its own. I wanted to do a sketch of the royal baths from the royal palace in House Bastet's capitol city of Septa. Even though it's big enough to swim in it's not exactly a swimming pool though, and it's unlikely that the duchess would wear a swimsuit in there unless she was doing a photo shoot, or she was having guests over whom she didn't know that intimately or would otherwise be inappropriate or uncomfortable to share peltship with.

The royal bath was built at the peak of Per Bast's wealth and opulence as part of the royal family's palace residence, predating the birth of even Princess Bastet herself. More than simply a place to wash and relax, it was built to be a self-contained retreat for the royalty without having to leave the palace. The basalt statue of Princess Bastet that adorns the center of the bathtub was a later addition-- it's rumored that it was originally commissioned by the princess herself as a gift that never made it to its recipient, and spent a century in storage before it became the centerpiece of the room which Bastet once enjoyed so many of her hours in.

Duchess Ivanna

Duchess Ivanna Morozov relaxing by the poolside. Such an extravagant swimsuit requires a bit of adjustment now and again.

So, this sketch request ended up kind of going through a bit of a saga to reach completion. I had another concept originally that ended up taking on a life of its own and perhaps got a bit too far away from the original sketch, but I decided to finish it anyway and I'll be posting that pic next. For this one I got a pose I really liked, and of course I always enjoy drawing Iva more.

Extracted Boyfriend

Another silly doodle idea I had for a distracted boyfriend meme variant, with Kitty, Mr. Wolf and Diane. I decided needed to hammer this one out before I forgot about it. :V

Diamonds are Forever

Sure, filling a bathtub with stolen diamonds is a lot of work and probably not super comfortable, but a heist is never really about the loot-- it's a power move.

Fun fact, the Bad Guys 2 had a deleted subplot regarding Kitty's backstory, where when she was younger she was Diane Foxington's protegee and sister in crime. There's an unused animatic and a lot of great unused concept art from those scenes in the official art book (which I got recently and have been studying!). This pic is inspired by the cut content, back during Diane's Crimson Paw days when life was still good with Kitty. (The concept art for young Kitty was super cute!)

There are multiple understandable reasons why Kitty's backstory didn't make it into the final film, although part of me wishes the movie could have been a half hour longer, too!

Also I came up with what I think was a pretty clever technique for "rendering" a bathtub full of diamonds that was kind of hilariously simple. Let's see if anyone guesses what it was.

In 2025, two anthro waifus will duke it out for box office supremacy! But that's not what matters. What we care about is WHO. WILL. GET. MORE. FAN. ART?

Since it's Krystal month I had the idea in my head that I'd like to do an homage pic of an iconic promotional pinup render of Krystal for Star Fox Assault. I love that pinup and liked the idea of putting my own spin on it with Mika Fadeneir from Lancer. I'll be posting it on my socials this month but you guys get to see it first!
