2024-05-14 14:42:43 +0000 UTCThey didn't send dogs for him when he was set free, they were wild wolves of the Hyrkanian steppes. Also the sword he found in the tomb was the Atlantean blade, not his father's sword that he finds later in the hands of the tall bad guy henchman. He took the Atlantean blade from the skeleton of an ancient Atlantean giant who became king of the region. In the books it came to life and Conan defeated it in combat to gain the weapon, I guess the film budget was limited. The sword is highest quality steel.
