I started sketching these on stream and couldn't decide which pose to go with, so I ended up completing the most popular one and added the other two as *BONUS DLC*. I've been in such a cow TF mood for awhile, so I'm glad this was the winner of the poll. We finished these up during the Work Together today- thanks so much to everyone for hanging with me and arting.

The main image is lightly inspired by a short story Noxproph wrote for me in which I become a Jersey cow. Though the story is a much comfier cozy TF! I've included it here with their permission. Noxproph is currently accepting short story requests, click here for more info!

May Drawing Club Work-Together

These are chill and informal, so we can all yap about what we're working on and get advice from our fellow artists. May 2025 Drawing Challenge- Backgrounds

For this month's drawing challenge, we're going to be doing what's probably an actual challenge for a lot of us- backgrounds!

I have a feeling this won't be a popular one... xD

Backgrounds are a common struggle for many artists, so it's important to practice them! My best tip for backgrounds is to work in broad strokes- don't get obsessed with the details. Instead try to see how you can convey the setting with vague painted expressions. Use a large brush and try painting a background without outlines. Or- try setting a scene with lighting and atmospheric effects.

Apologies this is coming in late this month, so we will extend the deadline to June 15th for submissions.

May 2025 Art Poll

It was a tight race, but Cow TF won last month's barnyard poll with 33% of the vote, followed closely by horse with 30%. I'm looking forward to growing a set of udders- please look out for the artwork coming sooOOOOOOn! *ahem*

This month, we're settling the age-old debate of which is best; Plushie TF or Pooltoy TF. Vote for your favorite to decide what I draw!

April Drawing Challenge- Community Recap!

For April, the Drawing Club challenge was tailsplosions! We had some lovely submissions from the community.

First up we have Fenton with a classic Pleasure Island scenario. Can't go wrong with a good P.I. donk! The neon sign is a great touch to set the mood of a Pleasure Island bar. I appreciate that you went with a pushing-down-the-pants style tail growth, it's a technique that needs to be used more often. Fenton even went above and beyond with this tailsplosion animation- perhaps another hapless Pleasure Island visitor? Love to see you experimenting with animation! Animated tailsplosions are tricky because you have to think about the stretching fabric and the explosive energy of the tail ripping out. I really like the bulging of the tail struggling to escape.

Next up is Kysis showing off several different types of tailsplosions- roos are always great for a pants destruction with their big thick tails. He also did a lion's tail snaking down their shorts with the tassel popping out below. Kysis finished the month with a full color kobold piece showing off some great pant rippage and tatters in an action leaping pose! I'm so glad to see you doing more work in your sketchbook and then transferring them to digital for lineart and color. It's also great to see more dynamic poses in your work!

Koyshepi is up next with a fully rendered TF sequence of him turning into a gshep and absolutely destroying his clothing. They start with their growing tail pushing into the seat of their pants until the fabric simply can't contain it any longer and it bursts out! God I wish that were me. I'm always happy to see my students working on TF pieces. For a simple two part TF sequence, you packed in some great storytelling with dog-you excited about the sneakers for a different reason than human-you. Also the paws and demi elements are *chef's kiss*

Finally we have Rehv coming in with a skunk TF sequence. Skunks of course have nice big tails which are great for destroying pants. Rehv used multiple viewpoints, swinging the camera around the scene to show themselves shrinking down into a tiny skunk. A very challenging drawing! The story is easy to follow and the dynamic camera angles are a visually interesting way to do a TF sequence. The comic book-style pop outs are a great way to show detail, and I love the final image of you falling to the floor in your new form.

For my own submission, a Lugia TF commission for Orion. One of the largest tails I've drawn recently, his underwear didn't stand a chance!

April 2025 Drawing Challenge- Tailsplosions!

For this month's drawing challenge, we're going to be looking at a personal favorite- tailsplosions! These are deceptively tricky- you need to combine knowledge of anatomy with movement and fabric physics.

Try practicing some tailsplosions in your work- not all tail growth necessarily explodes out either! Do you prefer to stretch and rip the pants fabric? Maybe you like a classic tail popping out of a hole. Or perhaps you're more realistic and prefer the tail to slowly push down the clothing. I wanna see how you depict a tailsplosion!

Please share 1-3 images of your work showing tailsplosions in the Braytreon Discord and we'll review what we've learned together!

March Drawing Challenge-Community Recap!

For March, the Drawing Club challenge was Bellies! We had some lovely submissions from the community.

First up, Koyshepi with a "HUNKY belly and ROUND belly". Remember bellies come in all sizes! Koyshepi is one of my Tier 3 art students. Love to see you experimenting with different body types, especially with stuff outside of your comfort zone. The hunky belly looks super solid even in sketch form, and in contrast, the round belly looks extra soft!

Finally we have Fenton, with a little mousey belly! Looks like he got into the cheese again. I really appreciate the attention to anatomy and how a creature like a mouse would differ from more humanized shapes. Also love the environmental story telling with the giant cheese wheel- imagine him once he's finished it all!

For my own submission, on MAR10 Day I drew Elephant Mario after too many Elephant Fruits- *BWOMP!*

Patreon Updates

First, I want to start by thanking everyone for their phenomenal support on Patreon! This has taken off in a way I did not expect and I’m so grateful and excited that folks are interested in my work. Now that I’ve been running a Patreon for 6 months, I’ve taken some time to reflect on what works, and what needs to be improved. I’m making some changes (get it) around here that I think everyone will enjoy!

After reviewing my metrics, it is clear that people are very excited about Patreon exclusive artwork, art education/tutoring, and community activities. That is awesome! That was my whole goal with this space- a focus on art instruction so I could share my knowledge with folks who want to do what I do, and getting the opportunity to do more personal artwork that wasn’t commissioned work. And that’s exactly what I’d like to offer- additional original Patreon exclusive art every month, plus monthly process tutorial videos. I am also adding two additional slots to the Tier 3 membership for one on one art lessons! This has been really rewarding and I'm excited for more students.

I’ve also really enjoyed the community we’ve built with the Work-Together sessions and drawing challenges, and would love to get more people involved. These are now available to all paid subscribers! I’m passionate about teaching, and want to make myself more available.

It’s also clear that folks are not as excited about things like the art packs, timelapses, and Procreate/PSD working files. I’m not excited about those either! It takes a lot of admin work to gather those materials every month- time that could be better spent creating more artwork for you. I will continue posting high res versions of my artwork to the Donkscord.

Once the bracers were on, there was no going back for Cloud. He fell forward to his hands and knees, his fingers becoming stubbier- hands changing to paws, fingernails growing into sharp claws. Magic pulsed from the bracers, fur spread across his body, and with it- a growing warmth. He heard a familiar voice behind him, "We live much longer lives than humans you know." Cloud grimaced as he felt his hips snapping- locking into his new quadrupedal form, spine slowly extending and growing out into a tail. His shoulders shifted forward and down, causing his armor to fall off, useless in this new form. As his face pushed forward into a feline muzzle- "We'll repopulate the planet, together," said Nanaki. The tip of Cloud's tail burst into brilliant flame.
