2023-07-10 19:06:01 +0000 UTCI can’t believe I’ve never watched this movie before, a friend bought this for me for my b-day, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to watch it. Isn’t it crazy af when you dream about something and then you see it in a movie or on tv? 🤯 This movie wasn’t what I thought it’d be. It was actually pretty sweet cause of the couple. I always thought this movie was just gonna be Beetlejuice being an asshole for an hour and a half, cause that’s what’s the cartoon was about. So I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it’s about the couple. I feel exactly what you’re talking about when watching this movie. I love the spin they put on everything, the whole afterlife, and how souls deal with it. It was kinda cute. Effects back in the day were mostly puppets and stop motion, some green screen(but always looked really shitty back then). Jurassic Park is where the effects game changed. And if you love the music in this, you gotta checkout Batman(‘89) and Batman Returns. It’s Tim Burton directing and Danny Elfman on music again, and the whole vibe is there as well. And Beetlejuice is Batman, who is completely different in those movies, it’s INSANE. Also, Batman Returns is very Christmassy... 😉 Anyway, excellent reaction, thank you for filling this month with so much fun. Happy Halloween Blue! 🎃👻 💙
