It was around 2011 and I was living in this really old apartment building that had been around since the 1940’s at least. I had never felt that comfortable in there at night, but I figured it was because it had a high ceiling and no overhead lights so there were always a lot of dark corners at night. One late Saturday night I was getting up from my computer and I heard a voice. It was a low, unintelligible murmur but it sounded as if someone next to me speaking directly into my ear. It only happened once but I’ll never forget it.
