PC failure.

- Margarie(landladie) model is recovered.
- Megan is recovered
- Chloe is recovered
- Emily is recovered
- Gabriela is lost for now. But she is easy to remake.
- Mia is lost for now. But she is easy to remake.
- Angelina (secretary) is lost for now. I know her model but her proportions could be a bit different.
- Liza is lost and really hard to recreate.
- Halloween special is lost.
Okay, today I got a new monitor. I installed a program that helps me adjust it better. I restarted my PC. And I got an error in bios no bootable devices were found. I tried to bypass it by reinstalling windows. When I tried to do it I got an Orange screen with white lines. I had no idea why this shit was happening. I looked it up on the net and the reason was that some password was blocking me to do the windows install. I had no fucking idea. After that, I used another drive to install windows 10, and this time no orange screen. After that, I find that something is blocking my SSD and HDD from Windows 10 installation. I watched a video on it. I did every step and it worked. What I didn't know was that It will erase every file on the drives. Well, I thought that's a bummer it's okay because I got everything in a portable HDD, but soon I find out that the windows 10 installer removed all the files.
I soon realized that I lost everything I started remaking models from the scratch. Chloe looked fine but not like Chloe. But then I remembered that Google Drive sometimes saves some of the files and I am lucky because it did. And it had all the main 4 girls. After that, it was easy to redownload the right assets. Right now I am trying to recover lost data from the drives. 1 hour left and I will know if the other models are lost or not and I hope Halloween special is there too because I just need the pictures. There were only a few animations left to render. I was 90% done on the Halloween special.
Right now I hope that at least Halloween special files can be recovered because it has Angelina and Liza models if I get those files I will recover models easily but for now, I am pissed and demotivated.
P.S If I dont recover the files that I need I will go to pay professionals to recover the file. And I hope I can still deliver Halloween special.

Well, I can give you an update on the recovery. I spend 80 euros on a program that did nothing I asked for a refund. As of now I manually brought back Gabriella, Mia, and Angelina. Only one model left and she is the hardest one. I will leave her for tomorrow. If the professionals will bring back the lost data I will name that special Revocery special :D Still, if I am not able to push Halloween special I am going back working on the Main game.

But more importantly I know you’ve such a strong spirit you’ll bounce back and learn from the pain like all the other high achievers have in the past. 2021-11-04 21:01:11 +0000 UTCWow that's rough. Worst nightmare material to lose a project you've worked on for years. Luckily some of it could be recovered, and let's hope the rest can be as well. I've had my storage drives all wiped after a Windows install years ago. Since then I keep a spare drive disconnected and only connect it for backup once a week (helpful for potential ransomware as well) and I disconnect all drives during a Windows install or repair until its done.
