ngl even tho they gave us the Orochimaru vs Naruto flashback here, it was nice to see it in 16:9 and slightly reanimated since those episodes were still in 4:3 at the time they released

Has to be someone Madara was afraid of or conversely was very close to for him to go from "it's on sight" with Kabuto to immediately accepting his alliance. Probably the first time we've actually seen Madara shook and not in control of the situation. Also, they'll go into more detail about how the Reanimation jutsu works, but you guys are on the right track with your assumptions on how it works
