Careful What You Read (April 2022 prompt)

"'The book of ideal male bodies'? Why did you get this kind of book?" The question was asked as the three friends met up. The three had been discussing about what to do when one of them, Tyler, brought up a book he had found.

“Well, I found this at this weird book store and thought it could be cool to look it over. Maybe we can see if there are any goal sizes for us?” Tyler suggested, chuckling a bit as he handed the book over from Lucas to Liam.

“Couldn’t hurt. Maybe we’ll find some good-sized men to ogle over.” Liam said with a chuckle, glancing over his fellow slim friends as he began to flip through the pages of the book, stopping at a random page. Liam’s smiling face scrunched up in surprise. “Dude, I think this book isn’t one of those catalogues.”

“What do you mean?”

Liam answered the question by turning over the book and showing his friend’s the page he was on. Instead of an anatomic sketch or even a pin-up of a fit guy, the page was covered with a caricature of a fat man. The enormous blob-like figure takes up the entire page, his heavy rolls on display with his form swelling out to a point that the pages couldn’t contain all of him.

“Holy shit, look at the blubber ball!” Lucas laughed, taking in the illustration of the whale-sized man in the book. “This has to be a drawing, no way in Hell any guy can get that big.”

“But it looks so real. You can even see the sweat trails between those fat rolls.” Tyler said between laughs, looking over the gargantuan sized man in the book. The slim man tried to make out the details of the illustration's face above the swollen moobs threatening to overtake him. He saw how the fat man’s bulbous face was covered in a dense beard, though between one blink and the next, he swore he saw the photo-realistic image change as the details in the face looked more familiar. “Huh, is it me? Or does that tub of lard’s face look like Liam?”

“Fuck off.” Liam said, clearly not happy with the apparently teasing remark.

“No man, Tyler has a point, the guy’s face looks like yours. Just way fatter and hairier.” Lucas agreed, glancing between the open book and Liam before taking the book himself to flip through the pages. “Maybe be careful snacking or you’ll end up a barely mobile blob like that guy.”

“Hardy har har.” Liam sighed, reaching to scratch his face, the young man pausing as well as noticing the slight roughness of stubble across his usually clean-shaven face. Liam noticed how his fingers pressed into the flesh more as if there was more now.

“Look at this one, the guy looks like a powerlifter pumped with an air hose,” Lucas said as he came across another image. This one shows a huge behemoth of a man squatting, his thick thighs pressing up against a globe-like belly, his arms raised in a flex, showing off biceps that rivalled his bearded head in size. “Seriously, who came up with this stuff.”

“Uh, guys… something is up.”

Tyler looked up at what Liam said, finding he could only stare at what he saw, not expecting what was before his eyes.

“The Fuck!”

“Holy Shit!”

Watching on, Tyler and Lucas witnessed Liam starting to swell outwards like he was inflating. The loose shirt started to tighten with his body broadening out, arms and legs thickening with a look of his swelling ass taking up his backside. Liam looked down at himself, his fattening face pressing into his plumping chest. His swelling face beginning to cover in thick beard hair, his shirt riding up to expose his growing hair covered gut. Seams had begun to stretch and give up, exposing more of the growing man’s body. The growing sacks that were his moobs pushing up the thick slabs of blubber that were his arms. One of the thick limbs rising, revealing the spreading dark patch of sweat that was forming, a baseball mitt sized hand reached to the growing Liam’s face to wipe the sweat off his forehead. Lucas and Tyler gawked at the huge man’s face, seeing his neck gone and replaced by a thick ring of fat that fused with his chin. His swollen cheeks resembled the stuffed cheeks of a squirrel, forcing his panting mouth into a pout.

The two smaller men hurried to step back as their friend’s swelling form spread across the ground, his fat belly looking more like a gigantic beanbag filled with fat. The ground-shaking when Liam fell back on the ground, his huge ass sinking into the ground as he swelled out.

“Guys… What’s happening!?” Liam called with a deep thickening voice, glancing down passed his gargantuan form, towering over Tyler and Lucas despite being seated. His gargantuan belly let out a deep gurgle before a booming belch erupted out of him. The ground-shaking from the force along with the massive man’s blubber packed form.

“Jesus Liam. What happened to you?” Tyler asked before glancing over to Lucas, blinking as he tried to comprehend what he saw. “Uh.., Lucas?”

“H-Huh.” Lucas groaned as his own body began to swell out, his thin arms starting to bulk up with muscle, swelling out as his shirt filled. The fabric stretched out over the growing chest and gut. Further down, the friends watched as Lucas’s jeans shredded against his thickening thicks and calves.

Tyler stepped back as his friends kept growing out more and more, wondering what was happening as he glanced over at the abandoned book. The remaining slim man realised what had caused the sudden gigantification of his friends.

“T-Tyler… this feels…” The huge men moaned out, panting as the two grown men felt their swelling bodies. Tyler watched as his friends panted, clearly getting aroused by their growth as he looked at the book, scrambling to grab it as he searched for an exaggerated sized form he wanted.
