Skyrim Upscaler FSR3 Build 01 & 02

This works on ROG Ally and other windows handhelds
For Steam Deck I haven't tested.
Download
- Link your discord account to patreon and you will get pulled in the server by patreon bot if you click the Join button under membership page.
- Download updates in beta-access channel.

- Supports FSR3 FG.
- Includes HUD ghosting fix.
INSTALLATION
- Install as any other SKSE plugin, using MO2 or Vortex would be the best way.
- Make the game run in Borderless instead of Fullscreen, see the IMPORTANT part below for how to do that.
- Check if you have dxgi.dll in the game folder, if so, download the modified ReShade and replace the dxgi.dll.
- Enable Vsyc for SyrimSE.exe in Nvidia Control Panel.
- Launch the game and press END in the game to open the menu for upscalers and do authentication.
- Slide DOF all the way to the left (it's in the game's own settings).
- Turn off ENB Edge AA and DOF (If you play at high enough resolution you can still try to use ENB's DOF, but if you can't stand the jittery just turn it off).
- Set the FPS Cap in the mod menu to half of your refresh rate minus 1! For example if you have a 144hz monitor set the FPS cap to 71. Or you can use ENB's fps limiter instead. This is only for preventing your FPS from exceeding your refresh rate, if you know what you are doing you can cap it lower to your average FPS (cap to half of that of course) to get a more stable frametime.
OTHER THINGS
- If you use ReShade, you need to download the modified version I posted on Discord.
- Note that you can't change quality level at runtime, you'll need to change it in the ini and restart the game.
IMPORTANT: If you are using SSE Display Tweaks, open SSEDisplayTweaks.ini and set Fullscreen = false and BorderlessUpscale = false. Remember to remove the # before them or they won't take effect.
If you are not using it, set bFull Screen = 0 in SkyrimPrefs.ini
If you are using detection meter, make sure it's at least v0.17.

At first, I thought I might've installed something sketchy, but come to think of it, the only update I've done is the Windows OS one. If you want this notification to go away, here are some steps you can take: • Look for updates to the mod or the specific plugin included in the mod. • Disable the mod containing the plugin. • Hide or delete the plugin from the mod. To refresh the script extender logs, you will need to run the game and/or editor again! The failed plugins are: • SkyrimUpscaler version 16777216 (SkyrimUpscaler.dll, Skyrim Upscaler) disabled, fatal error occurred while loading plugin.

I'm running on a Root Builder build, though, and just installed this like any other mod in MO2. Is there anything I need to change in terms of folders to get this to run? ETA: Got it to work. Mostly this was the fault of me being a first-time user and the first time trying something like this on a non-traditional setup. Out of reflex due to this being a Root Builder build, I created a "root" directory and put files into it. This time, I just let MO2 install it as is. Got a bit of a freak-out when I saw a black screen with no intro screen and no message that ENB was loading, then the game loaded. I went in, authenticated, and then couldn't move. I went out, started a new game, configured my settings, got out of the menu, and, again, couldn't move. Now that my settings are good to go, I won't have to go into the menu again, so I shouldn't have this trouble. I think this is happening because KreatE shares the END key as its hotkey.

This upscaler is AMAZING! Hope i'm actually using it correctly, 4k 60hz TV, game set at 4k, using FSR 3 with frame gen 2560x1440 - 2160x3840, and using ENB fps limiter. I assume i'm good as its never dropping below 60 outdoors, it was 40 outdoors before the upscaler. Thank you for your work!

2024-03-13 00:48:38 +0000 UTCI followed everything, and my game FPS did increase by 10-20fps with my RTX 4060 ti (originally had 15-25FPS before this mod), but animations caused the area around my character to be pixelated and jittery (after authentication). If I load a save game after already being loaded into another save game, it also causes my game to CTD every time for some reason. I'm going to try adjusting things to see if I can get this to work and also not lose quality for animations/movement in general. I'm trying this with Nolvus redux.

Have authenticated and tried to use SkyrimUpscalerFSR and my game won't load. Have set VSynch on, have Display Tweaks setup as described. Is it that the FSR upscaler is not compatible with a RTX 3060?

Once I turned off FSR my console details were back in my screenshots. Is it possible to fix this in the ini file, or is that a code change you'd need to apply?

Also, in case you get all pixelated resolution after loading this mod, you need to turn off any downscaling option active (i.e NOLVUS from the Dash Board), then open game and exit. Now install this mod following the instructions. Good luck to everyone!

Potential issue: Now, mouth movement in conversations looks blurry. This only occurred after using this FSR3 upscaler. I've followed all steps. Not game-breaing, but any tips? EDIT: Alleviated the issue by setting my refresh rate to 120hz (native) and the fps cap in the upscaler UI to 59fps. Also alleviated stuttery menus. Unfortunately 60hz monitors will have to deal with 30fps mouth movement and menu/maps.

2024-02-12 18:33:20 +0000 UTCThis is only meant for using with FG on, you need to authenticate and turn on FG, then you read fps with external fps counters such as the xbox game bar by pressing WIN+G, ENB only shows FPS before FG which is only half of the final FPS.
