So apparently someone thought it was hilarious to make a bunch of fake e-mail accounts to artificially inflate the pledge total. I have no idea how this is funny, but when 4 enormous pledges come in on the same evening, from the same free e-mail domain, with 4 addresses formatted the exact same way, and all just short of Patreon's $100 escrow limit, I'm probably going to catch it as a fake. I can only assume they were pushing the total higher so less were inclined to contribute, or to get my hopes up over the total. I don't count my pledges until the 1st, it's just a number until then, and when the 1st arrives I count myself blessed for every person kind and generous enough to help me and help make what I do grow and become better. Attempting to manipulate me like that is not only petty and pathetic, but an insult to everyone kind enough to pledge and actually mean it. I truly do not understand the mind of someone who needs someone else's pain or hurt emotions just to laugh, nor do I wish to know how a mind like that works. Since all the fakes came in from mail.com, I'll be watching and most likely deleting any that come in from that domain, I don't want a fake total tricking anyone. To the genuine people reading this, you have my utmost thanks and my continued promise to try to be worth whatever you have pledged.
