I can DEFINITELY see this movie being polarizing! I enjoyed the “happy ending” that we got but man, it was stressful getting there! And yesss – I agree – I kept waiting to see what was happening with Okabe and seeing him in the “R” world line more would have been really neat! I’m with you 100% on that one! But this definitely felt like a Kurisu-centered movie, and if it gets her tsundere heart on par with Okabe by the end? Eh, that works for me! 😀 Thank you for the note on the VN aspects; definitely going to wait on that, so thank you! 😀

2026-02-10 21:45:00 +0000 UTCHahahaha, well, it did "kind of" happen once with a Neon Genesis movie, so it's scarred me ever since, even though that film did have some great "added" moments that made it worth it! So you never know! But yes, thank you for the notes on the VN things -- it is probably better to wait to the very end, I agree! Thanks for the comment! :D

I enjoyed the beginning where we get more of the slice-of-life scene, but of course, in order for a movie to sell, you need a problem. I thought they could have focus more on the issues that Okabe was facing as we only get a brief conversation, but the highlight of the movie is Kurisu having more screen where we get to experience her struggle, resolve, etc. If you're going to have people tell about, or show you the VN, then that is going to open the flood gates.
