It is rumored on social media that Frieren was going to open a mimic then Himmel stopped her and someone else opened the mimic and actually got a grimoire. Whether this is true or not it doesn't matter because that tantrum scene is hilarious for two reasons I spotted the fact that she actually jumps off the cupboard and hurts her leg in one scene and Himmel trembling in the background

And yes, Sein would have been helpful because these teenagers might indeed need the talk soon (i might misremember but didn't Fern state she was 16 before they even joined up with Stark?, so she should be at least 18-19 by now and Stark has stated that he is slightly older), and an oblivious elf regurgitating millennia old definitions and views just ain't it. :P I think i need to know what that tantrum was about, sure it was for the joke but we have seen Frieren lose her hometown (and family i would guess) and two of her friends that she saved the world with and nothing else made her like that. Must really have missed out on some grimoire with a really legendary spell, like instantly drying your hair or something. Hadn't noticed the elf head on the stone, the Goddess is depicted as elflike so perhaps it's to her likeness. The ruin didn't look like a place of worship so perhaps a guard tower on the trail of some pilgrimage to the hot spring, now long forgotten. Frieren has indeed mastered the awkward sleeping positions, perhaps she could be utilized like Bertholdt and used to foretell the weather.
