This is my favorite episode so far of the series and Hanako and Kabakura are concerned, as Narumi stumbles across a familiar face at the local coffee shop -- he's handsome, super-friendly, opposite Hirotaka in every seeming way...and may have feelings for Narumi? What's a group of Otaku to do?!

I already love Nao in this series and it’s only the first episode we’ve seen him! I like how they ended up playing him in this as well! YUKI KAJI YESSSSS - Yessss, there it is! Thank you!! Ahahaha, that’s honestly hilarious, considering the other character Yuki Kaji voices. And that’s good to know that he just got added to the opening! Woohoo! I love openings like that as well! I agree that her being his type goes with him idolizing her but then I wasn’t sure if there was “more” to it…I guess we’ll see if he talks about it later, but thanks for sharing that perspective on it! 2025-11-21 22:50:03 +0000 UTCNao is such an adorable addition to the cast and I remember when this was airing it was either people thought he had feelings for Narumi until that scene at the end like Kabakura or thought that was a misdirect from the start. I dont remember what I thought I was just glad the story didnt add a brother rivalry element over Narumi because I was here for a wholesome office romcom lol. Nao is precious and it's not even simply the fact that he didnt want his brother to be alone but also that for the longest time he wanted it to be Narumi who stays with Hirotaka and Im happy that his wish came true. I dont know if you picked up on this but Nao is voiced by Yuki Kaji and while there are one or two characters who come close Naoya is the wholesomest character for me voiced by Yuki Kaji. Nao just got added to the opening so dont worry you didnt miss him. I like openings that changes as the anime goes on it's fun to be like hmm what changed or was this there before? I think the Kabakura idolizing Narumi is linked to two things so the first one is that last episode Koyanagi said that Narumi would be his type because she's cute looking and tiny in general and so maybe the anime is pointing out that he's going the extra length to defend her because of that. I think the second reason is that in the manga it says Kabakura is fantasizing about Narumi in the sense of seeing her as innocent and looking scared because maybe Hirotaka will be upset that she's with another guy.

Its not that the anime is bad or anything, because its good - just the comedic aspect of this series sits better in the manga? Something like that. From my perspective its the same problem Spy x Family had with the pace being different and slower than the manga.
