It does fit him well! He deserves all the love and I can’t wait to see him get it here! It’s so heartbreaking how he’s developed this coping mechanism, but I’m so excited to see how he finds friendship in this series! And the fight choreography is great! Thank you for the comment! 2025-10-28 01:46:25 +0000 UTCIt's here! Awesome! I kinda stumbled into this show when it first started airing and I do not regret watching it. I think you'll have fun with it. Gosh, I'm glad that I'm not the only that thinks that Sakura's name being "Sakura Haruka" is a choice, lol. Though I do love the more delicate sounding Sakura for this gentle hearted though guy xD It fits him very well. To this day I don't get why people treated Sakura so bad because of his looks because, yeah, his looks are badass and super cool. At least now he's in a place where it seems that will be more appreciated. Honestly, the trauma response with Sakura is so well done. The way that he's been condition to not expect kindness, and being downright puzzled at receiving the smallest bits of it, like with the grandpa giving him the candy as thanks for returning his bag; I mean, it's heartbreaking, yeah, but it is very realistic, and I appreciate that. That fight looked so good! It's a delight to watch.

2025-10-26 17:52:44 +0000 UTCHey Sulyeri, I am so happy to see how excited you are for windbreaker, and i love the care you put into your comments, sadly enough Romania can't read this one because it goes far too deep into Sakura's character/things that happen lateron/in the manga, remember though she's picking up on a lot she has only seen one episode! She needs to be given the time to really dig into the character herself before we add our own thought since we know so much more than her. As well as setting expectations for the next episodes. It might seem minor but Romania really cares about going into every episode as blind as possible. Try to keep that in mind for your next comments because you have a lot of interesting things to say you're just saying them too soon!

A lot of people didn't get through the first episodes/volumes of Wind Breaker because they didn't put much thought into Sakura's character and they took him as a very cliche classic shounen protagonist characters when he really is much deeper than that. And you just watched the one single episode and really tried to think about what is happening. Thats very cool and very reassuring, I know your reactions to this series are going to be WONDERFUL because you are going to take it seriously and actually analyze what is happening. I like how you commented that Sakura's stance is actually defensive instead of an agressive. (there is some deleted comment here, but to not spoil aanything I will talk about it more episodes later!) What is sad about Sakura's look is that it actually happens in real world. Like in america people can accuse you of being a thief because you are black or something, in Japan there still is a stigma towards tattoos or dyed hair in a lot of places etc. How you look still determines how people treat you in a lot of places/societies. Even if its discrimination and it's bad and infair it still happens. An Japan there is still clear thing towards more classic look, like I follow a polish girl that moved to Japan and works there and she was told in some workplaces that she should dye her hair black (even if she does not have blonde hair but dark brown). It's not true everywhere of course, and there are subcultures/regions/groups etc that does not bend to this more traditional thinking, but it's still there. So what happened to Sakura could easly happen in real life, specially in smaller town I think? Like I remember how many times we touched the theme of people being biased and stigma in general when you reacted to the Summer Hikaru Died. Appearance based discrimination is still very strong everywhere in the world. People can bully you because you have FRECKLES or some other dumb shit like crooked nose, monobrow, body fat, big ears, body hair, skin color, piercing etc. And there you have Sakura that was born a piebald / vitiligo/ partial albinism or something (???). For a lot of people that would be enough to bully/abuse a person. Sadly this is the world we live in... This episode has a really simple plot but was really packed with small things about characters and the city. I love this series for it! I think you are going to love Kotoha lol. It's nice to see well written female characters I think. And it would be wonderful to see you cosplay her - you would suit her design for sure! I really like her desing, but I always forgot how short she is. Like Sakura is quite short and she is even shorter than him. Also she is mostly called Kotoha, so you really do not have to use Tachibana! Kotoha is fine. I do not really think opening is that spoiler-y, but there are some designs of future characters that would be better to see in the actual episodes first to better impact I think? More that than the actual plot-related spoilers. I like the opening of the second series more tho. I listen to the song of the second opening regularly because I just love it so much. You said you love character-driven shows, and I think Wind Breaker is just something for you! There are so much to analyze! I remember talking with my friend (who didn't watch or read WB back then yet) about it and about Sakura and I got an hard autism moment and start writing "Sakura character analyze" in a doc and currently I have 600 pages (including screens from the manga because OF COURSE I overnalayze every fucking panel in a manga) and I'm not even on volume 10 yet when manga currently have like 24 volumes *crying emoji* I would LOVE to talk to you about some things but I need to wait at least until you finish both seasons of an anime to avoid absolutely any spoilers. I just hold Sakura in my hand like a rare specimen in a laboratory. With a microscope and all. I wish they would announce third season already. I wish we wouldnt wait to much for it - the manga is very good. Both current season covers only like half of the manga or so. But I think its quite popular so there for sure is going to be third season. Sorry for my long rant - I'm just SO exited and there is a big chance I'm going to overanalyze literally EVERY episode with you there. Mangas where authors actually locks in and put their entire asses in writing are my favourite. I love when I can take any random panel from a manga and say yeah this panel is drew like that for a reason, yeah this scene is there for a reason, yeah this dialogue is there for a reason, yeah this symbolicism is there for a reason, yeah characters are named like that for a reason, yeah charactres dress like that for a reason etc etc etc. THATS why I love manga and anime. I live for it.
