WORD OF HONOR: Episodes 36-37 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

I feel Novel ChengLing will be even more defined, so I’m excited to get to that in the future! But the hug with him and ZZS was so adorable! And the Scorpion King was definitely being cautious on that mountain! It’s wild to see the two of them (him and ZZS) interacting after this whole series, and it being THIS scene of all things! The hair pin as the key was WILD! I love that twist! And the fact he’s had it the entire time is wild! Yes, it’s such a good reveal! Hoorah for YBY cementing themselves as the MVP of the series! I love YBY approving of their relationship and that WKX and ZZS succeeded where him and his lover didn’t in the past. And the secret is AGRICULTURE! As someone that grew up on a farm, I totally get it! And the twist is so great - can you IMAGINE Zhao Jing’s face if he’d found that out, though?! But I was so panicked with every possible corner having a trap! I think WKX looks amazing with the white hair! Them as a bickering old couple on the mountain? LOVE IT> It does feel like it’s been both a long and yet fast journey through the live action! I’m excited to share the extras with you all, dive into a new danmei, and also get into the novel of this series! Thank you for the fantastic comments and all the support!

I have to say, Cheng Ling has always been a bit of a sassy little brat, haha! He’s always had something to say, even back in the beginning when he’d just mutter things under his breath. But honestly, I get his frustration here. Imagine constantly watching the two most important people in your life competing to see who can sacrifice themselves first. I’d be pretty fed up too, not gonna lie. I also love the hug between them, it’s such a sweet and tender moment. Also, I’m a sucker for when a series plants subtle hints all along and then hits you at the end like, “Surprise! It was all there the whole time!” and you’re sitting there going, “Wait… what?!” It’s brilliant. Honestly, we should’ve known something was up the moment they hinted at Gu Xiang and Cao Wei Ning’s fate earlier on. I also loved the Scorpion King’s sassy attitude when he said “you do the honor.” You could tell he was thinking, “I dunno what’s behind that door, and I ain’t about to find out the hard way.” I also loved his interaction with Zi Shu. Zi Shu was so completely done, just interrupting the Scorpion King like it’s nothing. He’s so effortlessly hot for being that unbothered. Oh my god, the moment Wen Kexing pulls the hairpin from Zi Shu’s hair and it turns out to be the key…I was shocked! I loved that it had been right there in plain sight all along. Such a clever twist, and it completely caught me off guard the first time I watched it. Seeing the flashbacks of it being in Wen Kexing’s hair since he was a child made it even better. I remember being all giddy in that earlier episode when he first put it in Zi Shu’s hair and we were all talking about how sweet and symbolic it was, while secretly I was like, “Yeees… just you wait… juuuust you waaait…” xD And of course, boomer Ye Bai Yi swoops in to save the day one last time. Gotta love him for that. RESPECT! I actually thought it was kind of poetic how the secret to a long-lasting country turned out to be the very thing that truly sustains a society. Without food and the ability to grow it, people can’t survive. I liked that instead of being something destructive, it was something about life and creation….something that could genuinely benefit an entire nation. It’s also kind of funny how the Dragonpool Cabinet has given us collective PTSD for any place connected to it. The sheer panic every time Zi Shu or Wen Kexing touched anything had me on edge, haha! And yes, Wen Kexing really does suit that white hair. When he tells Zi Shu during their cultivation that the one who survives will suffer more, and says, “You’re my senior, so please allow me....” it feels like he’s really saying, “You’re older, please bear this burden for me.” Because by this point, Wen Kexing simply couldn’t go on without Zi Shu, though sadly, the same is true the other way around. I think when Ye Bai Yi told Wen Kexing he could save Zi Shu at the cost of his own life and Wen Kexing agreed without hesitation, Ye Bai Yi actually looked happy, as if he knew it would succeed somehow because of their love for each other. The show really made sure to drive home that this is, without a doubt, a full-on love story, haha. And them bickering like immortal husbands on top of an icy mountain, while everyone else just has to endure their random, sensual fights… Gotta love it! And so we’re here at the end. It feels like such a long time ago, and it actually is, since we started this journey. It has been a really fun ride and this is definitely one of my absolute favorite shows, so I’m glad you reacted to it. I looked forward to it every Monday and it took some time before watching this last episode because I didn’t want it to end, but alas, everything comes to an end... I’m looking forward to the extras though, and whatever comes next! ^^

I am SO glad the two of them had a happy ending; I was so worried that one of them was going to die! And yes, now they get to spend eternity together - I love that for them! Thank you for the comment!

I agree, I'm not mad at the ending! Even though it's not well explained, I'm glad that it has a relatively happy end for Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing. A lot of Wex Kexing's angst stems from him regretting not reuniting with Zhou Zishu sooner, so it feels very appropriate that they get to spend eternity together, and when they're ready to pass on they can both leave the mountain together. Until then, I'm sure they're happy spending all of time together on the snowy mountain!
