I’m excited to cosplay as Ryo for episode 12! 😀 And OOHHH! A con! YES! And your first! Huzzah! Aww, that’s awesome about your daughter dressing up too for it! Yes, I love how the space is usually so inclusive and everyone’s just being geeky and celebrating their favorite characters and dressing up - it’s what I love about cons! That’s so exciting! I love that Bocchi realizes that spaces she didn’t think would work for her are actually better when you have others to share the experience with – and oooh, that’s a great point with Frieren! Yes! Frieren and Bocchi having more in common that I realized is something I wasn’t prepared for with this series, so thank you for letting me realize that! I went to a pretty small con with my daughter the other week (it was my first one!) - kinda spur of the moment - so I didn't have anything prepared, but she went dressed up in a Victorian style dress and had a blast! She said it was much more popular than the prior year. I couldn't help but think how you really summed it up perfectly in your video from last month - it was such a welcoming, safe space! Probably close to half the people were dressed up as anime, marvel, star wars, and other characters, and it was such a great and friendly environment - plenty of pictures being requested and compliments everywhere! I'll definitely have to check one out in a more planned manner in the future! The part in the discussion where Bocchi realizes the culture festival enjoyable with her friends even though it's not something Bocchi thought would be fun for her at all - reminded me of in Frieren when the OG party said Frieren would love the sunset, and she just sleeps in and misses it, thinking it's nothing special - to see later it was about sharing the experience with the company and enjoying it together! Thanks for nice break down of the episode in the discussion, I enjoyed it!

2025-07-01 21:53:39 +0000 UTCNot sure there is a particular meaning behind the title, other than, like the other episode titles, its also the name of a Asian Kung-Fu Generation song. Maybe "sunset" because its the penultimate episode? The guitar out of the mouth is also a Jojo reference.
