The results of the Design poll came out a while ago.
Snakes are popular in the new round. Tied for 6th place were ball pythons and ghost bats. -The animal that loses the vote will return in the next round! Hmm..when ghost bats come back in the next poll maybe i could combine them with pumpkins. It would be cool to use as stickers during the Halloween season.
Succulent and Sea Slug didn't win the last round, but they won this time π€
First of all, postcard design!
I tried to make the backs of the three postcards a little different. Which one do you like best?
I also need to make a new envelope.
I added a middle envelope to go between the smallest and outer envelopes last time, and it worked pretty well. It feels more sturdy, and I think you'll feel better when you open the package... You can also use it to send letters to other people. So I'm going to make another one to go in the middle.
I wrote the names of the animals (titles of the pictures) on the envelope lid.
Originally, it was marine birds, not loach, but I changed it because it overlapped the concept with a product (memo pad) that would come out later.
This wasn't my intention, but they all have fish this time. But each has its differences - salt water, freshwater, and brackish water - and the colors go so well together that I like it. It's been a while since I've made a fish envelope. The last one I made was probably a shark π€
Freebie come in two varieties.
One is a memo pad. 10 pages and a little smaller than a postcard.
It's the same size as the isopod To do list I made a few years ago.
The snow petrel will look good on any print because the colors are very simple.
Another one is a circle sticker.
I made two circle stickers with feebie in the past. Those who have supported me for a long time will probably have a lot of them. I didn't make any circle stickers last round, so I felt a little empty. This time, the size of the one I made is much bigger. It's the size of the palm of my hand. - The diameter is 8 cm, which is 3.14 inches.
And~~~~~ sticker sheets.
Sticker sheets take the longest to make. Not only do I make them, but the production period at the factory is also the longest. Maybe it is more efficient to make stickers first, but I am a bit impatient, so I tend to want to do things that produce results quickly π
The poll results show that foil is more popular, but there are a lot of people who like both better. So for this round, I'm going to make 3~4 out of 5 stickers with foil stickers. and 1~2 with hologram coating. It will be made in the same factory as the foil sticker. I contacted the factory and asked about the stock and they showed me various coated papers.
But I think I'll probably settle on this one. It's probably the one of most classic holographic coating, it's nostalgic and feels comfortable.
For the sea slug, I will definitely use a holographic coating. I have made sea slug stickers with foil twice in the past, so it would be more fun to use a different material.
Long bugs and succulents are foil! They would go well with a shiny foil over a matte texture.
I plan to finish it this month, and I'll write about the stickers in the next WIP post.
I already ordered postcard samples and circle stickers, and notepads. Korean printing factory is super fast, so it'll arrive in one to two days and we'll be able to see the pictures. Thank you!
