If you look closely, you'll notice that the edges of the paper have turned yellow. This is a notebook I bought in 2007. It's almost new because I only used a few pages, but I found it while organizing my room a while ago... I somehow missed the analog feel a little bit. The feel of paper and drawing with a pencil is special.

1.

To unify the thickness of the lines, the colors used, etc., I start by completing a few icons. Once I complete a few, I can easily imagine what the final feel will be like, and it will be easier to work on other icons based on these.

I used 100px and 60px lines on a 2000px square canvas.

2. Once I have a few icons done, I take a moment to stare at the monitor.

Since most bugs are warm-toned, the blue of the velvet worm seems to stand out a bit, but I plan to balance it out with blue when putting in things like folders or emails.

Let's place the completed icons on the wallpaper. They look good together.

Now all that's left is to complete the remaining icons that were in the idea sketch.

3. These are finished icons based on pencil sketches.

Long bugs are so great for completing the alphabet.

And many applications use the alphabet as their logo 😁

Most people use more than one messaging app. So I've been trying to add two messaging-related icons recently. But I think they're made too similar, so I changed the color of one. This way, it's consistent and doesn't confuse.

I am also working on the Galaxy theme. Overall, it has quite calm colors, making it more comfortable for the eyes.

Hm.. I am considering distributing this Galaxy theme for free 🤭

I hope many people will download it and discover the charm of bugs like me. If they see bugs on their phones every day, they'll feel more comfortable/connected to bugs in the real world.
