[wip] Enamel pin making 2

previous post

[wip] Enamel pin making

1. Production

It was ordered on the afternoon of January 2nd and completed on the 14th. And I was able to receive it right away. Fast production and delivery, One of the best things about domestic production😁

The factory shared a short video and photos!

This is probably Orange rili

Cherry!

2. Arrived

The pins arrived rolled up in thin paper and newspaper.

The backing card also arrived.

3. Packaging Preparation

Use an awl to pre-punch holes in the backing card.

The paper I used 4 years ago was a bit difficult to drill holes in, but this one is recycled paper, so it's softer and easier to insert pins. And I like the feel of the paper too 😚

4. Examination

I check the condition of the shrimp by wiping them with a microfiber cloth.

Many shrimps waiting for their turn.

This pin looks almost perfect.

I wish all pins were perfect, but some shrimp are mischievous and have visible scars. They are not shy and maybe a little bit violent. They won't be sent anywhere else, I will raise them. It would be cute to make a long line of shrimp and display them in front of my monitor 😁

5. Packaging

Since it is a screw type, it may be a little hard to remove it from the paper than normal type. However, if you grab and shake it gently, it will come out easily.

I suddenly realized that this type of pinback was quite unfamiliar, so I added an explanatory note to the back of the backing card! (Thanks to kiki and kelly for English help)

Clockwise to lock, counterclockwise to unlock.

My touch is on every pin badge πŸ˜πŸ’•

Now I'll back to step 3 and poke holes in the paper πŸ“ŒπŸ“πŸ“Œ

As soon as everything is ready, I'll post Secret Shop! Thanks for reading!

Comments

Thanks for watching the process! They will all be out next quarter as I still have stock!

pikaole

I really enjoy seeing how the stickers and pins are made. I hope I can order some shrimp pins in the future, when I am less broke πŸ˜…

fred

The physical tier's basic reward is a postcard and sticker, not a pin. Its an item for a secret shop. The secret shop item can also be purchased at the nudibranch tier :)

pikaole

These are so amazing I can't wait for when I can afford to subscribe to your physical tier

Unregistered Psychiatrist

Thanks, Joverton! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it 😁

pikaole

Thank you so much Christin :D

pikaole

So cool! Thank you for taking the time to post about the pin-making process like you do with the stickers. It's fascinating!

joverton

They turned out so cute! 😍

Christin

Nice! That's great to hear!

Ellie Baines

Yeah, that makes sense. I think crabby crab would be upset because it's not made with pins. This is my first time seeing the screw type too, but they are slightly thicker than regular nails and look very sturdy. Thanks for reading!

pikaole

Haha, yes, I'm checking the status of the pin right now and making an army of shrimp, it's so much fun to watch. When all the healthy shy shrimp will be adopted, and if someone wants them someday, I'll be happy to part ways πŸ˜‚

pikaole

Thank you! The screw back feels better than I expected. It feels sturdy and secure!

pikaole

Haha, I'm glad my writing made you laugh πŸ˜‚ Thank you very much Hilary!

pikaole

Hehehe thanks for liking this new pin!

pikaole

Oh, that's cool! There's a little blue velvet shrimp on the inside of the backing card. It's so much fun to see the shrimp πŸ˜πŸ’™ How diligently they clean!

pikaole

Thanks for watching 😁

pikaole

the videos and pictures from the production factory are so cool!

takeded

Thank you so much Hanna!

pikaole

I love these so much! I've started breeding blue velvet shrimp. My 14yr old & I spend so much time a day just watching them.

Candi

I can't wait to get my hands on these they're all so cute I love your pinsss

Kit Valentine

They're so small and cute!! ❀️ I laughed out loud at you saying you would raise the misfits yourself. πŸ˜‚ Thank you for sharing!

Hilary Osborn

Screw back is so interesting! I've never seen it before. They turned out so cute!

Ellie Baines

Can't wait!!! I also think some people will like the mischievous shrimp as long as the description explains what that can mean. That's if you want to part ways with some of them. I'm sure they will be very entertaining in front of your monitor! Never a dull moment

JM

They look so great!! And it’s really neat to see the process video. I didn’t expect to see so much bleed as they fill the color; I’m curious what the cleanup looks like. I like your take on the shrimp with scratches. Maybe Crabby Crab snuck in there and caused a ruckus. πŸ˜‚ I’ve never seen pins with screw backs before. Really neat! Thanks for sharing the progress! 😍🦐

Valerie Burk

The backing card is so cool!

Hanna Borovoi

It would be nice if enamel pins could molting like real shrimp πŸ˜‚

pikaole

Thank you so much Kammy πŸ’•

pikaole

Hehehe, I sold B grade before:D Maybe after A grade is sold out, if there is still someone who wants the design, they might appear. (I'm not sure now)

pikaole

They're so adorable!! I love your take on the mischievous shrimp who are just a little bit too excitable :)

Panny

Exciting! They're so cute β€οΈπŸŽ€

Kammy

Thanks for reading them schau!

pikaole

What's amazing about the video is that it wasn't filmed from the side, but the technician herself was filming it with his left hand 😲 Thanks for liking my mischievous shrimp too

pikaole

I think putting up BGrades would be just fine. People like me don't mind the silly ones for a discount.

ShadoCadInk

this is so much work, thank you for doing all of this for us <3

schau

I would’ve taken the mischievous shrimp, maybe they’re just clumsy like me! Also I think it’s neat the factory sent a video of progress, though my hand is cramping just looking at how they’re holding the ink pen, and thinking of how many shrimp had to be filled πŸ˜…

Venera

Thanks Leylara 😘

pikaole

Sooooo cute β™‘β™‘β™‘
