[wip] Enamel pin making 2
Added 2025-01-15 16:09:01 +0000 UTCprevious post
1. Production
It was ordered on the afternoon of January 2nd and completed on the 14th. And I was able to receive it right away. Fast production and delivery, One of the best things about domestic productionπ
The factory shared a short video and photos!

This is probably Orange rili

Cherry!
2. Arrived

The pins arrived rolled up in thin paper and newspaper.

The backing card also arrived.
3. Packaging Preparation

Use an awl to pre-punch holes in the backing card.
The paper I used 4 years ago was a bit difficult to drill holes in, but this one is recycled paper, so it's softer and easier to insert pins. And I like the feel of the paper too π
4. Examination

I check the condition of the shrimp by wiping them with a microfiber cloth.

Many shrimps waiting for their turn.

This pin looks almost perfect.

I wish all pins were perfect, but some shrimp are mischievous and have visible scars. They are not shy and maybe a little bit violent. They won't be sent anywhere else, I will raise them. It would be cute to make a long line of shrimp and display them in front of my monitor π
5. Packaging

Since it is a screw type, it may be a little hard to remove it from the paper than normal type. However, if you grab and shake it gently, it will come out easily.

I suddenly realized that this type of pinback was quite unfamiliar, so I added an explanatory note to the back of the backing card! (Thanks to kiki and kelly for English help)
Clockwise to lock, counterclockwise to unlock.

My touch is on every pin badge ππ
Now I'll back to step 3 and poke holes in the paper πππ
As soon as everything is ready, I'll post Secret Shop! Thanks for reading!

2025-02-13 15:17:02 +0000 UTCI really enjoy seeing how the stickers and pins are made. I hope I can order some shrimp pins in the future, when I am less broke π

2025-02-12 18:11:12 +0000 UTCThe physical tier's basic reward is a postcard and sticker, not a pin. Its an item for a secret shop. The secret shop item can also be purchased at the nudibranch tier :)

2025-01-16 18:48:35 +0000 UTCYeah, that makes sense. I think crabby crab would be upset because it's not made with pins. This is my first time seeing the screw type too, but they are slightly thicker than regular nails and look very sturdy. Thanks for reading!

2025-01-16 18:18:11 +0000 UTCHaha, yes, I'm checking the status of the pin right now and making an army of shrimp, it's so much fun to watch. When all the healthy shy shrimp will be adopted, and if someone wants them someday, I'll be happy to part ways π

2025-01-15 18:23:08 +0000 UTCCan't wait!!! I also think some people will like the mischievous shrimp as long as the description explains what that can mean. That's if you want to part ways with some of them. I'm sure they will be very entertaining in front of your monitor! Never a dull moment

2025-01-15 17:32:26 +0000 UTCThey look so great!! And itβs really neat to see the process video. I didnβt expect to see so much bleed as they fill the color; Iβm curious what the cleanup looks like. I like your take on the shrimp with scratches. Maybe Crabby Crab snuck in there and caused a ruckus. π Iβve never seen pins with screw backs before. Really neat! Thanks for sharing the progress! ππ¦

2025-01-15 16:38:42 +0000 UTCWhat's amazing about the video is that it wasn't filmed from the side, but the technician herself was filming it with his left hand π² Thanks for liking my mischievous shrimp too

2025-01-15 16:38:27 +0000 UTCI think putting up BGrades would be just fine. People like me don't mind the silly ones for a discount.

2025-01-15 16:23:31 +0000 UTCI wouldβve taken the mischievous shrimp, maybe theyβre just clumsy like me! Also I think itβs neat the factory sent a video of progress, though my hand is cramping just looking at how theyβre holding the ink pen, and thinking of how many shrimp had to be filled π
