I'm currently making sticker sheets~
This design will be shipped in April next year, and it will be perfect for the season since there will be a lot of flowers blooming then.
In this post, I focused on the shape of the sticker and the foil part!

The shape of the cutting line has been modified to make it easier to create stickers. Remove the space between stickers and make it less complicated.
In the case of bugs, there was almost nothing to modify because I worked on them with the sticker sheet in mind from the beginning, but the flower seaslug and goldfish required quite a bit of modification.
This is the modified version, can you feel the difference?
I also added some small stickers to the gaps between the stickers. Small stickers are quite useful when decorating ✨

In this way, I lay down the picture below and draw the knife lines and gold leaf parts separately on top of it. I will first draw it by hand in Photoshop and then rework it into a vector in Illustrator.
I'm only looking at the parts that will be treated with gold foil in this stage.
I imagine the future output while looking at this. And I check the places that need to be fixed.
In the case of the jewel scarab beetle, when I first conceived the design, I thought about treating the entire part with foil, but when I actually started working on it, I was worried whether it would turn out well in the end. It would be perfect if it turned out well, but it might be a bit dangerous if it had a lot of defectives.
The gold foil won't be expressed well if it's too thin or small, so I fixed that part.

The gray side is the cut sticker, the black side is where the foil will ultimately go.

Here's one more additional edit. I expanded the foil surface area of magnolia and iris. There were quite a few small edits made over several stages ✍️
At this point, the design is almost complete. Now it's time to look at the other designs.

Almost the same work. After laying out the layout, I draw the cutting lines and design the part where the foil will be attached. I modified the cutting lines little by little while doing the detailed work.

The white part is where the foil will go.
Flowers and bugs will use warm-toned foil, while sharks and pterosaurs will use cool-toned foil!
The final step is to convert it to vector in Adobe Illustrator 😎
I use Image Trace -> Expand to make it into a vector!
But since there are many things that are converted in an ugly way like this, I use the pencil tool and smooth tool to refine everything one more time.
So in the final final, the foil or cutting line can be slightly changed!
If you look at the product, it's just a printed foil of some shape, but inside there are various thoughts, touches, and digital brush strokes 😂
I plan to finish it this week and send it to the factory next week. Then, We'll probably be able to see the finished sample photos next month. Thank you!
