Anurognathus is small pterosaur with big eyes and big mouths from the Late Jurassic.
Their large eyes suggest that they were active at night, so I thought they would be perfect to match the night sky.
These are really small compared to other pterosaurs I've drawn before. You could probably hold them in your hand. That reminded me of a pet lizard. So when I was deciding on the colors, I was inspired by geckos. Especially the tokay and day gecko.
The reason I drew 16 of them was to emphasize their small size.
I drew 4 of Quetzalcoatlus and 9 of Pteranodon. So It would have been better if I drew about 50 of them π€£
So it was completed like this!
In this artwork, I paid some attention to the shape/silhouette.
I modified the tail to be invisible, and made their feet a little more visible. making the final shape simpler and clearer.

Can you feel the difference?

The shape at the bottom is much prettier π

Here's a colored version.

Some have bristles.
They are also famous for their dense and numerous teeth, but drawing them all would be too complicated, so only two of them have many teeth in this picture. Bristle was also only half drawn for the same reason π
So, this is the last in the series of Pterosaurs of the Sky.
Now I'm going to move on to other animals, but there are a lot of pterosaurs that I haven't drawn yet, so I'd like to draw them again sometime in the future. Drawing prehistoric animals is always fascinating.
Thank you!
