I checked this day on my calendar for drawing this picture 😁
I've drawn snakes several times, but this time it's been a long time... almost 3 years 😅.
I personally liked snakes since I was young..
Because I thought I was born in the Year of the Snake.
But it turns out later, it was mistaken and I was born in the Year of the Gold Dragon(黃龍) . (Chinese Zodiac is decided by the lunar calendar.)
In Korean myth, a snake that lived for a thousand years became a dragon when it got super power pearl, so I think dragon was snake too haha.
We used to see our fortune through Chinese zodiac like horoscope in the West.
Practiced sketches.
I was very careful about the thickness and length of the deform at first.
I thought I'd look like a worm if I did something wrong.
WIP
I modified the sketch with Photoshop's Puppet Tool.
(Photoshop Menu -> Edit -> Puppet Warp)
Usually I try to draw as simple as I can when I draw many animals in one frame, but this time I cared about the scale depiction.
