Kim's character is one of the best studies in morality/conscience I have seen in modern media. Her insistence at the public defender's office to take on 20 cases is not just her being a "workaholic". If that was all that was driving her, she could resume her cushy corporate legal position, or one similar to it, and stay busy. She is motivated by a desire to help those without hope. Her backstory a few episodes ago gives some rationale to it, but I think she's driven primarily by her guilty conscience. Acker, the man Mesa Verde tried to force out of his home for their call center, observantly called her out for this behavior exactly. And then, the full turn into immorality, her direct goading of Jimmy to target Howard to benefit herself. But, it's obviously not so simple. As she muses, it's a career setback for one lawyer vs. dozens or hundreds she could aid. What a moral quandary. What great writing and acting.

Dude phenomenal analysis, man this show is truly incredible I don’t think I’ll ever find anything that tops It.

I'm certainly not saying Kim is right to want to go after Howard, and I agree with Jimmy that he doesn't deserve it; but to understand her motives, you have to consider her interactions with Howard throughout the show. Season 1 - she gets put into doc review after losing the Kettlemans Season 2 - she gets put into doc review after Jimmy's commercial shenanigans and is kept there even after winning Mesa Verde Season 3 - they're put against each other as opposition representatives in the Chuck vs Jimmy feud. Howard, out of petty spite for the stress the trial has caused him & HHM takes a dig at Kim in front of Mesa Verde and they have an argument outside. Season 4 - Howard, attempting to unload his guilt, tells Jimmy that Chuck killed himself on the day of his funeral. Kim was very angry at him for that. Kim didn't see Howard's suffering after this and his subsequent recovery. Season 5 - Howard, a bit presumptuously, accuses Kim of being completely derailed by Jimmy when trying to explain how Jimmy needs help, again upsetting her. Kim has never really had any positive interactions with Howard throughout the entire show and so, much like how Jimmy had an ill-perceived villain image of him in Season 1, Kim now has one too. Jimmy has his own animosity toward Howard going on with how he tried shifting the guilt of Chuck's death on to Howard and has had to witness him come out the other side of that a better person, whilst he's still inwardly racked with guilt. Plus Jimmy will always go along with a scam just for the thrill of it. So yeah... it looks like they've got motive enough to actually try to take Howard down a peg or two. "You know who knew Jimmy? Chuck." Oof. Hits like a tonne of bricks. I agree that Don Eladio does look considerably older than in his Breaking Bad days (filmed almost a decade apart). But he's a vain cartel boss so I just put it down to his character having had botox between the shows.πŸ˜‚ Yeah the assassin crew didn't seem to come across as the "best in the business" but you do have to remember that they were going in to the complex completely blind. All Nacho helped them with was getting in quietly. Man that glance over to the glasses. Lalo had just decided after getting scolded by Kim for having nobody to trust, to place his faith in Nacho and look what happened... Bring on the final season! :D
