2024-09-07 05:00:13 +0000 UTCThis was the episode where I realized Kim was going to be an amazing character. She has nerves of steel and will speak truth to power regardless of the consequences. But, weirdly: Notice that everything Kim said to Chuck in defense of Jimmy was literally true (e.g., "there is a simpler explanation" is literally true), but it was distorted to defend Jimmy, even though she knew Jimmy had done something wrong. This is becoming a very complex relationship.

2024-09-07 02:42:44 +0000 UTCRewatching this I'm coming to a feeling that Kim is a bit of a bizzaro-world Chuck or at least like the figure that Jimmy wishes Chuck was. Hard-working, by-the-book, dedicated to the law, but shows support and affection towards Jimmy while cutting some slack for his 'slippin' ways.
