Chapter 1
“Oh, bless you! Merry Christmas! We can’t tell you how much this means to us!” An aging woman covered in layers upon layers of fraying threads profusely thanked the blonde standing on her doorstep.
“Oh, it’s nothing! My pleasure.” Her demeanor was cheery and pleasant, honest in her sincerity. But from the pale color of her face and the chattering of her teeth, it clearly was not nothing.
“You really are a saint,” the woman who ran the orphanage continued. “Every year, without fail. These kids would love to meet their Santa Claus one day, you know.”
“I would love to,” the blonde sighed, “but there are still deliveries to be made. If only I had a sleigh and nine flying reindeer instead of...” she poked a thumb behind her, pointing to the barely functional truck that she drove.
“Oh please! If you’re going to wish, then wish bigger! You deserve it. However, we do have some gingersnaps and milk, if you want to live that part of the story,” the matron winked.
“I would love to, but I really have to get going. I need to make my stops before the weather gets too bad.”
“Alright, alright dearie. But you really oughta take care of yourself too, you know? Have a Merry Christmas, and thank you again!”
Alex trudged through the thickening snow, lugging her heavy boots and stepping through yielding snow. Far too yielding. The powder accumulated so quickly on the ground that it was hard enough to impede her movement as she dragged her ankles through it, yet soft enough to allow her boots to sink in. She tried to ignore the fact that her equipment was far too worn, and the chill of the snow was seeping in around the tops of her boots.
She made it back to her delivery truck and brushed the snow as best she could off of her seat and door. Pulling up a paper map, Alex pursed her chapped blue lips and examined her route. The sudden inclement weather was not her friend, and her truck had seen one too many journeys without maintenance.
Placing her gloved hands on the steering wheel with determination, Alex coaxed her vehicle into action. The truth was that she was barely better off than the poor kids at the orphanage, and spent months collecting the gifts that she was delivering, as well as putting in extra hours of her own. If she could afford to have her dilapidated truck maintained, then she would—but the fact was that it simply wasn’t going to happen, and asking people to donate money to fix her truck, which she viewed as personal gain, was completely contrary to the spirit of what she stood for. The kids came first.
She’d be damned if they felt the sort of neglect that she had when she was an orphan. Parents unknown of course, always an outsider even among orphans. Even among neglected children, Alex felt as if she came from another planet, one where up was down, right was left, and every step she took was the wrong one.
And all she ever wanted was a tiny sign of affection.
So here she was, her life’s goal to enrich the lives of those forgotten and neglected. She revved her engine, engaged her windshield wipers, and leaned forward into the steering wheel, peering through the blustering snow that threatened to jeopardize her journey.
Chapter 2
“Alex, I can’t believe you made it! Visibility is terrible. Where even is your truck!” Another matron of an orphanage the next town over helped haul Alex’s heavy bag into the premises.
“Don’t worry,” Alex heaved, her eyes strained but clearly still determined. “I just have to get through the mountain pass. They know me quite well there. Once I deliver, I’ll just hunker down there until the storm passes.”
“That’s absurd! Those roads are dangerous even at the best of times. I know it’s Christmas, but don’t throw your life away, young lady!”
“Don’t worry about me. This one is important.”
“Nothing is more important than your life! You... oh. I see,” the matron furrowed her brow, seeing the determination in Alex’s eyes, her tightly pursed lips.
“I will be fine. This is my last stop, I promise.”
“Very well,” the matron sighed. “Ah, to be young again...”
---
“Shoot! No no no!” Alex got out of her truck, which she had driven right off the road and into a snowbank. Across a ditch, of course. All things considered, she was lucky to have broken down before she got to the mountain pass, which considering her current situation, could easily have claimed her life. Now, instead of being instantly doomed, she was perhaps slowly doomed. Her radio wasn’t working, the nearest refuge was miles away, and nobody would be on these already empty roads on this particular date.
She crawled back into her driver’s seat, slamming her little fists on the steering wheel in despair. Every year, she ended her little pilgrimage back at the orphanage that had raised her. The thought that she might freeze to death on these lonely roads was secondary to the fact that she wouldn’t make it back to see the matron who had raised her when no one would adopt her.
Alex lay her cheek down on the steering wheel, the chill air prickling her lungs. She closed her eyes, on the verge of losing consciousness, her mission failed.
Then, a multicolored beam of light streaked through the sky, originating from the North Pole, and with laser focus, pierced the girl in her broke down delivery truck.
For her part, Alex thought it strange that a glowing warmth seemed to be burning inside of her body like a self fueled furnace. She assumed it was her strained mind playing tricks on her, the cold of the desolate winter having finally gotten to her.
Instead, a healthy pink color returned to her face in a flush of rosy vitality, a vibrancy that even in her best moments Alex had never obtained. Her cheeks became flushed with a natural blush that accentuated her new, sculpted, feminine cheekbones to pair with a supernatural sparkle in her now shockingly blue eyes. That beam of multicolored light shunted into her body, now emanating from within her, becoming a part of her as it cast a soft glow across her entire body.
Her full, pink lips parted involuntarily, exhaling forcefully as her sweet, thick tongue traced her explored her new mouth. The force of her warm breath immediately defrosted the pane of ice that had formed on her passenger side window before it cracked and shattered. Alex’s eyes opened wide in shock, unsure where the sudden temperature change had come from, not even realizing that it was the sheer force of her breath that had pulverized the glass into a thousand pieces. Her newly transformed, feminine hand with elongated fingers and beautifully, perfectly manicured nails covered her lascivious mouth in shock, before she yelped once more in surprise at the foreign hand that brushed her lips.
Alex really thought she was hallucinating now. She blinked her eyes, expecting the image of the world to blur and begin to fade to black. But instead, the world came into sharper definition, and even seemed to glow with a golden light. Her piercing blue eyes shot around before realizing that it was her hair—her golden blonde locks, long and silky and flowing, framing her face, shimmering as if they provided their own light. She brought her new, delicate hands, running her fingers through the silk that she called her hair. The lovely caress against her skin made her shiver with desire, their floral fragrance not forgotten either as it hit her nostrils. She looked into the fogged side view mirror, her eyes instinctively glowing and emitting a low energy beam of heat that melted the translucent substance in an instant.
“Oh my god,” Alex whispered. She scarcely recognized the person looking back at her. And that person was gorgeous.
The multicolored northern lights continued to transform her body, now focused on her deficient chest.. Her heavy overcoat strained against the sudden influx of volume, the snug fabric pushing outward and upward until the top button popped, revealing the soft, creamy mounds beneath. Her breasts became fuller, rounder, and more pronounced with each passing moment, her healthy pink skin stretching taut and smooth over her new endowments. And as they swelled and expanded, Alex’s breasts were firm enough to press against her steering wheel and push the rest of her voluptuous body up and back, her protruding breasts having absolutely no give, their voluminous shape far too arrogant and proud to be pushed aside by mere metal. Large, round, and proud, the shape of Alex’s breasts were as impressive as their sheer size.
“No waaaay!” Alex moaned, those lights narrowing her waist before going to work on her lower body. Her rear end began to fill out and ripen, pushing and supporting her whole body off of the driver’s seat, just as her breasts had pushed her body up and away from the steering wheel. Suddenly, the sound of tearing fabric filled the air, her wider and now invulnerable hips ripping through her warm leggings.
And just on time too, as her legs began to fill out and elongate. Her knees straightened, her thighs bulged with tight, luscious flesh, framing a lovely gap at the entrance to her sweet womanhood. Her pants began to split on the seams, traveling downward in tandem with Alex’s changing, developing body. Her calves were smooth and long, decorated with sweet and subtle muscle, her ankles neat and tidy, her feet smooth, dainty, and elegant.
And more than all of that, she felt alive. Alive with energy, alive with power!
The chill of the air that had been assaulting her seemed to completely vanish. It took her a moment of focus to realize that it was in fact still cold. But that cold to her now was so insignificant, as the sun would consider a flame. She placed her new hand on her door handle, squeezed, and completely mangled the plastic underneath the steely grip of her fingers.
“Whoa!” she gasped, immediately pulling her hand back. Had the car become brittle from the cold?
She hooked her index finger behind the remaining piece of the handle and tried to fondle it, curling her finger to try and open it. It, too, snapped off. In frustration, Alex banged her open palm against the frame, only to send the whole thing flying off into the snow bank with a screech of tortured metal.
“I-I’m strong!” she realized.
Extending her long, sexy, bare legs and jumping out into the snow, Alex sped over the door to examine it. It looked as if it had been hit by a tiny battering ram where her open palm had struck it. With great curiosity, she strode over to the front of her car, askew and hanging in a ditch. Bending at the waist with incredible flexibility and ease, Alex placed her left hand underneath the undercarriage, experimentally hefting the weight of her truck, before raising her body and her arm.
The whole thing creaked and groaned as it came up into the air. Supported by only her single dainty hand!
Alex giggled as she strode like a model on a runway, save for the fact that she was supporting some insane amount of weight on her single outstretched hand. She placed it back on the road, thinking that she could make the drive back to her orphanage of origin now.
But something in her new, stellar body protested.
Without warning, her feet left the snowy road. Her entire body rose into the air, unsupported, ignoring the force of gravity as she instinctively maneuvered, performing a graceful dance in the sky like a ballerina. She whooped and hollered before realizing what she had to do.
Alex disappeared in a blur, her hair leaving behind only a streak of gold to the naked eye. She was rummaging through her gifts, and found something that she had been saving for herself: a festive red top and short skirt.
Another blur, and she was out of her raggedy winter clothing. She looked like a magician’s sexy assistant, her burgeoning breasts threatening to spill out of her top, her skirt scandalously short, her neverending bare legs stretching from her lascivious hips to the floor, for all the world to see. Then, she slipped the bridge of her foot underneath the truck, flicked it up into the air, and got underneath it. Her body betrayed no effort or motion as she simply left gravity behind, catching the truck with her arms, and flew the whole thing toward her final stop.
Along the way, she saw a few other jackknifed trucks. Her super hearing picked up groans and cries for help, so she tossed her truck into the air, zipped down to the ground too fast to be seen save for that blur of shimmering gold, and used her super speed and strength to extricate and right cars before anyone could react.
Her truck had barely come down a few meters before she caught it once more, flying to her orphanage.
In a few minutes, she had completed the arduous journey that probably would have taken hours, if not claimed her life. The weather was far fairer on this side of the mountain. In fact, she could see that even at night, the large pond that the children liked to ice skate on would be too warm to support the weight of the children.
So Alex “parked” her truck and leapt the tall fence of the orphanage in a single bound. Landing on her toes, she regarded the lake. Then puckered her lips, and blew a cool, gentle stream of frozen air across its surface.
The semi-solid pond crackled loudly as it turned opaque and solid, succumbing to Alex’s super breath. And she had barely even blown for two seconds! She dusted her hands off, leapt over the fence, made a detour to a nearby forest where she used her hand to chop down a tree in a single fell swoop, and carried the thing against her sexy flank as if it weighed nothing more than a rolled up newspaper.
When she reached the front door of the orphanage, an evergreen in one hand and a huge bag of gifts in the other, Alex found her matron waiting, bristling with emotion. Joy, hope, pride, happiness, relief... it was hard even for Alex’s super senses to pin down.
“Oh Alex. It’s happened. I always knew you were special,” the matron wiped a tear from her eye.
“Mother? What do you mean? You... know something about what’s happened to me?” Alex was once again just a little girl speaking to the one who cared for her most.
“Come in. I don’t know much, but I’ll tell you what I do know. And I have milk and cookies waiting for you, just like you like.”
