Temperature Check - About 103 Degrees

I've been combing through the data provided to me via the Temperature Check form I released to my listeners, and I even wrote a massive 6500 word response to it. That said, I feel that it's far too dense to make sense to release as a statement. I have gathered valuable information, which deserves feedback in kind. So, you can instead consider this my statement:

A lot of requests, criticisms, and praises have come through this form. Some stuff has been pretty overwhelmingly asked for, some stuff I've been begged not to change. There will be a little disappointment and excitement in both camps, but I want to structure this in such a way you understand where I'm coming from.

Let's do this as "give" and "take," the most defining characteristic of my relationship with my audience.

Give:

- Post production. You want masterpieces instead of minimalism, by and large. I can't promise everything overnight, but I'll take more time with each piece.

- Longer audios. I will likely have to ease into this transition in terms of porn (so I'm not wasting a bunch of audios I just made in an old style). I have a very solid plan to increase the length of one of my weekly offerings on a regular basis already as a result of this feedback.

- Series, or OCs, or something to get invested in long term. Whatever the mechanism, I recognize all of these as basically the same answer: you want the consistency of a character and/or setting with the spontaneity that comes with Thursday (and used to come a little more often with Tuesday--but more on that in the "Take" section). I have an actionable plan for this already.

- Writers, I've created script submission guidelines and I am accepting candidates for one-shots or series. In general, you will need an extremely strong showing to be accepted, but this goes double for starting a series. Currently, scripts will only be considered for content meant to be released publicly (YouTube, Reddit, etc). Paid writing is totally possible (but for right now only on a contracting basis since I can't afford a team), especially if a particular name keeps standing out. This won't necessarily be able to be the case right away or in every release, but I'm a reasonable guy. Shoot your (writing-related) shot. Dress to impress and I will take you to the dance, but please don't have hopes that I'll make something I'm morally against (such as mental health audios) or otherwise don't have a lot of interest in (like really sappy boyfriend type stuff).

- Talented web developers who are willing to work within absurd constraints to fix my table, you're free to email me so I can make it better. Here are the basics of what I want: 1. The new layout should be able to take my insane HTML file as "input" and output something much better. 2. It should be able to be pushed to something automatically (GitHub preferably since I already use that) with no maintenance besides updating the table itself. 3. Mobile friendly UI. 4. (Optional, big bonus points) A search function. I'm less concerned about sorting and filtering by tag because I think that's a disaster, but I know that was also asked after. If you can provide something that hits all of those, I will absolutely pay you for your work. Feel free to email me and work out exactly what I'm looking for if you have questions. I advise asking me if there's already a solution in progress before beginning to work on it just so this doesn't become "speculative work" and end up disappointing you when I paid someone else already. There was someone who sent me something that was pretty impressive already, but the email was a throwaway so I didn't respond to it, assuming they wouldn't read it since I took so long. If you're out there and want to kind of finalize that, hit me up. It looked good but I forgot to follow up with questions. Totally open to payment for you, as well.

- Collabs are absolutely in the cards. Drop names in my feedback form. Don't comment them please. I'll link it at the end of this like always.

Take:

- I will have to post a little less frequently on public platforms to chase quality over quantity. Most likely, this will include schedule changes affecting Tuesday.

- I'm still not convinced that blending Thursday and Tuesday is a good idea. So this still isn't happening.

- I still consider Patreon the platform I "must" post on because these are my paying supporters. Totally understand if you can't afford to support me, but I have to be fair to myself and my patrons.

- The vast majority of my audience still prefers M4F. It doesn't mean M4M/A content has to be a ghost necessarily, but it will still by and large cater to a female audience. I apologize that you keep having to hear this.

- I won't change much with regard to parallel content. Most of you don't seem to care one way or the other.

- For now, social media management isn't in the cards, and I don't plan to do much to change my brand. I hear you, but I'm focusing on other things right now.

- Editors, I have to prioritize other things at the moment, and I'm pretty confident I do a great job editing my audios when I do decide to add production value. I understand your value, but I'm not a company quite yet.

- I'm not considering a boyfriend OC or transitioning to boyfriend style content.

- I am also not considering posting psycho audios until the end of time.

- Romance is still not really my thing, so OC/series won't be focused on that (which isn't to say there won't be elements of it a la Sunday lite).

- I'm still never going to do mental health stuff.

You have all indicated you have a desire for me to press on and continue to kick ass. Some of you feel that I've stagnated, and I take that seriously. It's time to get better, again.

I have not given up the quest to be the absolute fucking best at this, and hopefully what I change and put out in the next few months will prove that to you. I've been blessed with a listenership that is discerning enough to leverage their impeccable taste against my tireless craftsmanship and feed me the delta. Save your appetite. Soon, you feast.

As always, your anonymous feedback is welcome here.
