It was there that it had been coined the term 'the necklace of death' That's what i think anyway. Also, thank you for the content! Continue to watch without feeling like gaps need to be filled. That can be discussed when the arc is over :)

Reanimation jutsu is still their true selves, I believe she thinks they are zombies and have no control over their emotions and they are possessed which isn’t factual. It is still them, of course as long as the caster allows them to be and doesn’t force them to be something else but it all depends on the faster

2023-08-17 04:54:49 +0000 UTCI'm surprised that Madison's train of thought lead her to the conclusion that Tsunade "wants" the leaf village to be destroyed. Tsunade obviously doesn't want it destroyed. She just desperately wants to see her family again. But doing so would lead to many other deaths. That's the internal struggle Tsunade is having. On top of which, she learns that her mentor died, and she has been asked to replace him. All in the same day. So Tsunade just has A LOT to process and take in. Also, Madison missed the mark with Naruto too. Naruto is THE most sympathetic and empathetic person in the show. Heck, in all of anime. Its literally is whole character. It's how he uses his "POWERFUL SPEECHES" to reach and connect with others. All because he can understand their pain. And we all know that Naruto will truly understand Pain later on in the series. So Madison saying Naruto can't sympathize is way off the mark.

2023-08-17 03:17:16 +0000 UTCI miss the old translation clubs. Back in the day when this was coming out in Japan there were no official English subtitles until they'd release the DVD. In the meantime... translation clubs would make their own English subtitled version and upload them via some BitTorrent site. They usually had more contextual translations and would even do neat things like translate street and business signs... or even make notes about Japanese idiums so English speakers would understand the word play.

2023-08-17 02:10:16 +0000 UTCIDK why they changed it. I really dislike when translations do this. Jiraiya even said to Naruto: "You are weak!" when he wanted go go after Itachi in the subtitles I was watching so it's weird. Maybe they thought it was too harsh? Makes no sense.

Also, the jiraiya scene with tsunade is better in japanese. Here he tells her that if she betrays the village he will stop her... In japanese he tells her "I will kill you myself!"
