I might be able to get new developer credentials, but I kinda doubt it. Or at least, I doubt any credentials I'll be able to get will do the job.
So this might be the end.
I'll be able to look into it further over the next few days, to see if there's a way it can be brought back online, but I doubt it.
I invite you to rescind your patreon pledges. You've *already* supported me and Secateur by being here, and I'm grateful for that. If I'm able to repair it, I'll certainly let you know!
But, till then, thank you for your support.

Hey everyone!
I want to thank all of your for helping contribute to the cost of running Secateur, and to give you a quick update.
Twitter have announced that free access to the API is being cut off sometime this month. And that app developers will then have to sign up for either the basic plan ($100 per month) or the "enterprise" plan (42 thousand freaking dollars per month).
One hundred dollars a month is going to be fine, *if* it works.
Here's the thing, the limits and capabilities of the "basic" plan don't mention what Secateur does (i.e. block people). Also, it would appear that rate limits for blocking are inconsistent between individual apps.
So what I'm saying is, I think it's pretty likely that, when I sign up for the paid API access, Secateur still won't work.
I recently did a bit of experimentation to see how I might be able to get around some of these limitations, but I ended up getting my own personal Twitter account temporarily locked -- so that didn't work.
Here's what I think might happen: Sometime in the next month, Secateur's access will be abruptly cut off, and I'll be told I have to upgrade my API access to a paid tier.
I'll do the upgrade, and Secateur *might* start working again. If it does: cool!
But if the upgraded credentials don't work, then I think that might be the end of the app. I'm very sorry about that, and I'm glad to have been able to help people on Twitter in some small way, while I could.
And in the meantime: thank you once again for your support!

The AWS bill is about 105 USD per month.
Elon Musk is about to force all Twitter API users to pay 100 USD per month for API access.
That'll bring the cost of running Secateur to about 205 USD per month.
This Patreon is priced in New Zealand dollars. To fully cover the cost of running Secateur at the moment, donations need to reach about 350 New Zealand dollars per month.
Note: Patreon isn't the only place where donations happen, Ko-Fi is seperate. But the good thing about Patreon is it shows you how many patrons Secateur has. If you can see it at 350 dollars per month, then you *know* that we're doing okay.
