The image that turned the world upside down of a Red Cross volunteer comforting a Senegalese man moments after he stepped into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta, has unleashed multiple reactions on the Internet that go from hatred to solidarity for the humanitarian crisis that is lived in the Spanish enclave.
"He was crying, I offered him my hand and he hugged me," said the Red Cross volunteer, "He clung to me. That hug was like his lifeline."
Hours after the images went viral, Reyes put her social media accounts private after being the subject of a large number of insults, many of them from supporters of the Spanish far-right party...
"Seeing that my boyfriend was black, they didn't stop insulting me and saying horrible and racist things," she told the television channel.
