"1 for 1 black man swap" is crazy lmao You're absolutely right though, apparently there were significant changes to when they made the first season of the show and originally both black characters (Jaqui and T-Dog) died in season 1 with T-Dog supposedly dying in the first few episodes. I'm so glad they made the changes they did though, nothing more infuriating then watching them cast a black dude in the 2000's to be killed off at the beginning of a horror show or film then act like it was a coincidence. You're both the most observant and most empathetic reactor i've ever seen react to this show and i'm super glad you're enjoying it!

2025-08-21 21:30:30 +0000 UTCThe actor who played Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn) wanted out after the producer of season 1 (Frank Darabont) got fired. I guess Jeffrey decided to stick around at least through season 2( or maybe he was under contract and didn't have a choice, i'm not totally sure) Frank Darabont has directed a lot of great movies like The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist, and yes Jeffery is in all of them, albeit usually in a pretty small role.
