Update: Volume 5, AMA, and Conventions
Added 2025-02-28 07:34:28 +0000 UTCOkay, first things first. The publication date of Volume 5 has been moved up from March 11th to March 4th. Hurray! That goes for the ebook and the audiobook versions, and probably the print versions as well if things happen as they usually do. So, if you pre-ordered them on Kindle or Audible, they'll show up next Tuesday. I promise that there's nothing sinister at play. Just a timing issue. My book could move and another book couldn't.
That does mean I have to move up my planned timing of putting most of Volume 5 back behind the dreaded paywall. That will happen this weekend. Probably on Sunday.
I will also be doing an AMA on March 4th over on the r/progressionfantasy subreddit if anyone wants to stop by and ask a question. It should be going live around 4pm eastern standard time.
Now, for people who attend conventions. I will be there at Dragon Con again this year. No panels, but I will have scheduled signing times at the Shadow Alley booth. I will post the exact times and location when I have them, probably in early August.
Something I had not planned on doing but will be attending this year is LitRPG Con in Denver. That's happening around mid-July (18th-20th). No word yet on whether I'm going to be on any panels. I'm not really a LitRPG author, but cultivation is technically progression fantasy, which is LitRPG's first cousin. So, they might have a panel or two about it, which they might invite me to be on. We'll see.
My publisher will have a booth there, so I'll likely have at least one or two scheduled times when I'll be available at the booth to sign things. The point is that for anyone living west of the Mississippi River who just can't foot the bill or the time off to get out to Dragon Con, this might be a more accessible opportunity to meet me. And, to be fair, meeting people who didn't make it to Dragon Con last year is at least half the reason that I'm going. Yup, I'm a fanboy for some people too. It turns out that a bit of success did nothing to make me less geeky.
And, I think that covers everything I wanted to talk about.
