HEY BOOMers!! I'm BACK after some good delay! Sorry, I am busy with a ton of renovation and later in the month I have to move! Hopefully my new home lab will be in shape soon.
Hopefully you guys are all in a good shape!
Anyway, get in the scope and supply draw by signing up at http://learn.keysight.com/page/electroboom
AND GOOD LUCK!
Thanks, I am SLOWLY learning electronics, sometimes even the right way LOL!!!!

How about a small series for your patrons about how you set up your new home lab?

That is why I order extra...

"Dont try this at home"
You think im smart enough to try that at home!

Hi, you sould watch Photonicinduction's videos, there you have HIGH voltage ;) https://www.youtube.com/user/Photonvids

I also have a bunch of those from disposable cameras at home. The way they work, there is a tiny contact switch on them. You have to hold it closed to start charging the capacitor. I think I used them in one of my videos, don't remember which one

How does it effect the receiving person? You mean beside death?

I go through this many fails every time I make something:)

11:08 - this reminds me, could you make a video on explaining electric chair? How high the voltage is, what's the frequency and how does it affect the reciving person? Thanks! :)

I have a flyback power supply :))) i used an arduino as an signal generator. You need a high frequency signal to drive it. @ 30khz.
And yes. An ignition coil primary coil has a pretty low imoedance and will blow up any ballast circuit..
Try another flyback transformer:))

Glad to see you back, Sir! Best of luck on the renovations, and I hope you have an easy move.

All we wanted was to see something explode. Sorry Mehdi. Maybe next time 😅

"Why isn't life easy like everybody shows in their videos?" Love it. I'm all down for failure footage, even if it is camp, because in the vast majority of cases we have to fail several times before we get things working the way we want. Thank you for giving us mere mortals some hope! (Given the number of electrical hazards you endure, I am operating on the assumption that you're a Highlander.)

I love your videos!! You're the best! You need your own TV Show. :)

Funny thing, providence is. Thanks for the video. I've been playing with HV flash photo flasher circuit boards all day. I can't get them to work. They are supposed to generate voltages over 200 V to drive the xenon flash bulb... only not for me. These circuits are the type used in disposable cameras from yesteryear. Only there are no schematics, no datasheets, and so I am probing around like you were doing while risking my life. Thank God I don't have a pace-maker ... yet. I'd be happy to send some of those I purchased to you. Just let me know. Some people use these for homemade tasers. Not me: I'm trying to make a flash strobe as part of my home security system. But now I cry because I can't get them to work! [Edit: I forgot to add, "Stay safe, my friend". (from the Dos Equis beer commercial from the most interesting man in the world.) ]

Modern Flybacks have a voltage doubler. Some vintage flybacks are AC but they can be hard to find.

available worldwide... except where I live (Quebec) as always :'(

Watching a grown man cry about not having a power supply ..... totally get it 👌

Why're you renovating a house you're going to move out of! (Kidding, hope you're safe! :))
