Super Kiwi 64 - Update infos #1

Next to some of the changes to the main game, the update for Super Kiwi 64 will also includes some bonus content like I mentioned earlier. I figured it's time to share some infos on this:

It's basically a completely dettached adventure from the original game. It plays after the maingame and can be chosen from the menu once the maingame is finished once (getting to the credits, not 100% it). It also features a new story, that hints at a few "general siactro lore" connections. And yes th...

Super Kiwi 64 - Intro Cutscene (WIP)

Like I said in yesterdays post, I am working on an update for Super Kiwi 64. One of the features will be voice acting, as well as a few cutscenes with a bit of a changed plot. I uploaded a quick look on how the intro cutscene currently looks like. This is still a work in progress of course, so keep that in mind.
Hope you enjoy it. :)

Patreon and Super Kiwi 64 Update!

Hey there, a few things:

- What is it with me and patreon? - Okay first: Yes... I know. I still aren't in the flow of patreon things and I haven't forgotten about the streaming neither. At this point it's kinda unforgiveable though and believe me when I say I am trying to find a way! Handling my day to day life while also continuing making games sometimes feels like a 24/7 thing and I clearly haven't found a balance yet. I will soon be doing some drastical changes to my...

Yet another NEW Game!

First of all: I know you all are probably waiting for some behind the scenes informations about "Super Kiwi 64". I promise they will come asap! In general I have a few ideas of finally getting you all a propper information stream on here!

Now for te newest infos: During the last months I have not only been working on Super Kiwi 64, but also on a small side project. Pengu Blast: a 2.5D time trial Platformer with a boost function.  I needed something colorful like t...

More Toree!

Okay, I know this comes out of nowhere but yes... there will be more Toree content tomorrow. A small, new game, that takes elements from the original Toree 3D and remixes them into four new levels. It will release for free on itch as a standalone title. Furthermore those four levels will be added to the switch version of Toree 3D as "remix stages" in a separate level select menu.

Basically, Kalliros (one of my leveldesigners for both Toree games) was kinda bored during the early stages...

Toree 2 Coverart.

The (almost?) final cover art for Toree 2.
I went for a more "bubbgle gum packaging" style with this one. It kinda reflects the way Toree 2 uses contrasts a bit to make everything seem more poppy.
I hope you like it, it honestly was a ton of fun to come up with to be honest. :)

Toree 2 WIP Things!

Hey there,

first of all I am really sorry for the lack of... well anything really. I still need to get into the whole patreon swing but I promise I will do better from now on!

The big problem I have is that I never feel to comfortable with sharing things, especially when I am not sure if they make it into the final game. Though by now I kinda understand that that is exactly what a patreon account is for, so I promise I will do better from now on! :)

Okay now for the game: ...

Macbat 64 is coming to Nintendo Switch

Hey there,

sorry for having a bit of radio silence for two weeks. I am currently drowning in work, trying to handle some smaller side projects (that ultimately bringing a bit of money to have a bit of a development budget). :)

One of those projects is a port of my 3D Platformer "Macbat 64" to Nintendo Switch. Now the port is not handled by myself, but I did help out with a few bugs and may have created a bit of bonus content.

The port is going to be announced ...

Monthly Report: First Real Month On Patreon

So it's been over a month now since I remade my patreon and so far it was an interesting experience.

Before I go into the details, let me quickly clarify a few things: I am working on Tasty Ramen, but didn't have anything new to show just yet. I am currently in the planning phase of Episode 2, fixing some stuff on Episode 1, preparing the game for a showcase this month and a few other minor Projects also came along (more on this in the next post). My main focus is, and will conti...

[First Look] - Experimental Game #1

A small bit of footage for my first, patreon exclusive short game.

It's the 80s. You are sitting in your bedroom, playing the newly released text adventure "The Wizard's Tower". Suddenly though... things around you start to get a bit weird... You hear sounds... is someone at your door?

I need to get a few things fixed and ready still, but the game will come out before the end of july. This is my first patreon exclusive experimental game.

Tasty Ramen 0.1.2 Update is out!

Finally finished a new update for. However, this is mainly about bugs other things that needed fixing. I do have a bit new content done already, but not included as of yet.

This update includes:

- A death animation... finally!

- That annoying inverted controls bug is gone. <3

- A little "E" prompt for whenever the player can pick up something.

- Some minor fixes.

There is still a few things that need fixing, or need to i...

3D Platformer Sideproject - Techvideo

A small sideproject I started shortly after the release of the beta. From time to time it is refreshing to work on something different.

This is basically a very simple 3D Platformer in the style of an early psx game. However, not all is as cute and friendly as it looks... Things might turn weird, quick. :)

As soon as I have a few fully working levels, I will upload a techdemo.

Train Mystery

It is tuesday, and time for my weekly post. I haven't anything too interesting to share from the development right now though. I have mostly been takling bugs this last week.

So I decided to share something with you, that I haven't seen anyone really discover just yet. I even prepared a small video for it.

I am not going to explain too much about it just yet, to not spoil too much. However, this is going to be story relevant in later episodes.

This might not have been ...

Episode 2 Production Start and Episode 1 Updates

Yesterday I finally started working on episode 2. I did this, despite episode 1 not being in its final state.

In order to get rid of some of the plot problems, and to make sure episode 1 and 2 don't feel disjointed or disconnected in the end, I decided to start working on episode 2 already. This means I am currently working on episode 1's final release as well as episode 2.

This should also speed up development a bit. At least I hope so.

For episode 1, I am current...

Puzzles and Plungers

The main goal / puzzle in Tasty Ramen Episode 1 is a very simple one about collecting a random number of X. However, this wasn’t always the case. A few weeks ago, I had elaborate puzzles involving the plunger, a drain, a chained up chest and even a man eating monster plant!

Let me go into detail a bit.

Originally the player had to collect three hidden keys, in order to open up a room full of ice cubes (yea… really…). The keys where hidden behind certain ob...

Hey there! <3

With the release of Tasty Ramen Episode 1 beta, I am finally reopening my Patreon for good! I tried it out for fun so many years ago, now I am here to stay!

Currently I am hard at work to update the beta, however I do have a little prototype experiment ready for next month as well. Fitting to the current vibes: it's hor...

Changing My Page!

Hey there,

I just wanted to inform you guys that I am changing my patreon page at the moment. One of the changes is that it will be "per month" instead of "per game" from now on. Besides that, I will change the tiers, rewards and goals as well as the whole description. Stay tuned to see the final page as soon as it's done and feel free to change your pledges the way you feel comfortable with. :)

Cheers,

Kiwi 64 released!

It is finally done! : ) Kiwi 64 is a small hommage to that one 3D collect-a-thon platformer by that one UK gamedeveloper. It features one world and challenges you to collect five magical lamps in order to get the evil melon down from the mountain in the middle. The music is part of Jay Moser's amazing album "Bear and Bird". Want to get the full album? Get it here: http://jdmoser.bandcamp.com/releases LINK: View Post

So guess what? This friday a new and free game of mine will be released on gamejolt. It is called "Kiwi 64" and is a short "3D Collect-a-thon" platformer hommage to games like that one game about a bear and a bird from that one UK company. Check back on friday for it's release! : )
