Drowning in Inefficiency

YAY! It took me so long to finally release a new video. I should do better! But with the Japan travel and all, I was a bit stuck. Hope you like this one about lack of efficiency. AND NO! It is not about my lack of video making efficiency!
Who cares dude, it's just a sponsor... you're right, they sell this "privacy" thing because that's the only way to sell a VPN service, but I'm glad electroboom has this sponsor, and maybe even i'll download it.

VPN uses encryption which add overhead to your data and makes the transfer of your data less efficient.

I really wish phone manufacturers standardised on a magnetic charging port instead of this wireless charging nonsense. A magnetic port has the same advantage of minimising port wear or damage from tugging or tripping over the cable.

That video thumbnail is brilliant!

"...you, the girl or boy...", I know it's a little thing, but its nice to see "girl or boy" instead of "boy or girl". The gender gap in engineering is massive, and sometimes these little things will be heard by young people and hopefully will encourage them to look past the gender and realise they can do it too!

But also, if they don't land the rockets, they just crash into the ocean, and the whole energy used to make the rocket is wasted because it gets scrapped. I believe the idea of reusable rocket is (Build + use + reuse + reuse) is better than 3 * (build + use).

Free Internet... Haha... Thanks EU for Article 13 and all the fucking articles they plan to cut my free opinion in the internet(they really try this like china or so)

Reusable rockets use more fuel because they have to burn fuel to land and the rockets need to be more robust which usually means heavy.

I'm a bit surprised that pad is so bad. The big IPT system I'm working with can do better than 90% DC to DC. The AC-DC power supply however is kinda killing us.

Thanks for that great wake up call

It is not just the motor though. Say for example the battery can store 80% of the charge you pour at it and the motor driver is 90% efficient, and the motor itself is... don't know, like 80%? the gears and drive system is 70% (all rough numbers). If you multiply all these you get 40%! So maybe I'm assuming some numbers too low, but you get the idea.

I tought eletric motors in eletric cars were much more deficientes :(

Don't forget that the internal combustion engines 'wastes' some energy as noise too, and some internal combustion engines (think V8) sound way better than any electric car ever will! ;)

You'll be surprised what you might come up with if you use your brain! DO IT! WE NEED IT!

LOL thanks for the positive message. But I hope human kind efficiency is not depending from my brain.
