Cordless Anti-static Bracelet, Garbage or Junk?

Hey people! Back to my regular type of videos. The too much scientific KVL videos hurt my psyche! I still have to deal with the bunch of people who don't agree with me too.

You are the first to sign up for the free two months of Skillshare if you like. I'm going to get some free courses myself. And free is always good! https://skl.sh/electroboom

I should also draw the winners of scope and meters tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned! and let me know what kind of lab equipment makes you happy. Santa may just bring it for you!

Cordless Anti-static Bracelet, Garbage or Junk?

Scope!..

Would be interesting to use an electrometer to do some electrostatic experiments

Science isn't just binary, so not that I want to watch you zap yourself a bunch more times (that's a lie by the way) but is there some way you could capture a measurement of the discharges and see if the punk-rock gear is doing anything other than making you look bad-ass?

Jason Hoffman

Wait-really?

Jason Hoffman

Ooh, a power supply for sure. Or a multimeter or oscope, or just a nice soldering station ...

Jack Haden-Enneking

Oscilloscope would be such a great upgrade for my lab since I don't own one and study electronics on a daily basis

A power supply or analyzer would be pretty sweet. But I'd take whatever. My tinkering area is rather sparse.

Alchemist00

A power quality analyzer! It'd make my life easier xD

Very good. I can't believe Fry's Electronics still sells those things! It must have been nearly 8 years ago I noticed them in the Kent store. Since you are asking, I'd love a nice spectrum analyzer/network analyzer for my home lab.

Steven J Greenfield

Hey there, Butch...Try a 1Meg resistor between your skin and the cute collars. Then it will be JUST as useless, but technically advanced.

Chuck Kirchner

Spikes were not sharp enough? Maybe put more humidity in the air? :-)

Przemysław Brojewski

A scope would be nice :o

give me a scope :)

I would love to use a nice meter to measure how much static electricity I can dissipate through my eye. I think the salinity makes the eye an I-deal place to unload unwanted charges.

Jim

A scope would be nice, but a good power supply is also on my wish list.

Alexander Thomas

Oh and if Santa were to remember i exist this year, he'd know a solid bench powersupply or laser output meter would be my favoritist lab equipment.... If i had them :(

Mehdi, don't let all the drama get to you too much. Any time you put yourself out there like you have, the haters seem to flood in out of the sewers which they troll. I've got your back & will continue to regardless of whether or not I agree with all of your opinions.

Skillshare, get it before my cousins take all the spots!

King Parker

please scope

Santa is so generous! If this generosity we’re to fall on me, I would enjoy a scope!

The thing is that bench power supplies are way cheaper than scopes. Shoot, you can make your own bench power supply for not that expensive (within certain parameters) - try doing that with an oscope.

A scope would be wonderful tool for the workbench. However, anything from Santa will be greatly appreciated and useful.

It's sad that I've not gotten myself a scope. I definitely need one.

Bert Nielson

I'm guessing my industrial class shoes that are anti-static with some kind of ISO rating should do the trick? Anyway, good video! I learned that my cheap wristband needs a 1 MOhm resistor in between ground!! Anyway, for your question: Definitely a scope, I'm dreaming of what I could learn by visualizing the voltages, instead of using my multi-meter alone.

I always wanted to have a good oscilloscope. I’m studying computer engineering it would be very useful :D

I would love to have a scope!

Is it possible to design a circuit that detects static electricity and warns you?

Looks like you forgot to put the link to EEVblog in the description.

Andy Bice

Scope, I have so much to learn.

Everyone's talking about scopes so I'm gonna break the trend and say that I love a nice solid bench power supply. Had one at work with remote control via a serial connection, which was fun as well as useful.

Kemp

A scope will be good

I'm waiting for 2mil sub celebration

Gimmy za scope :). The best Christmas present would be you bringing us more amazing videos. 😁

Scope would be soo cool! And useful, too!

A scope would be the best christmas pressie ever :)

I want the scope!

Hmmmm scooope

A scope from KEYSIGHT would sit beautifully besides my portrait of Mehdi Santa... Merry Christmas Everyone!!

A scope please! So I can explain better to my kids how stuff works.

Dear Santa Medhi, can I please have a scope fro christmas? I've been very good this year and have blown (almost) no circuits (Except for the ones I blow on purpose of course). It would be very useful in my home lab.

Jimmy Pedersen

I'd love a multimeter !

Bedapp

Yeah scope!

Mehdi, A scope would be super nice! gimme the scope, plz

Speaking of lab equipment, have you heard of MEGO (<a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1498560049/mego-a-portable-power-supply-for-electronic-makers)?" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1498560049/mego-a-portable-power-supply-for-electronic-makers</a>)? It is a battery powered portable power supply for bread boarding. It seems like a pretty brilliant idea because lab power supplies are cumbersome. I'm always afraid of Kickstarters but this one seems pretty cool! If they ever release it, you should do a video review!

Mehdi, The only thing I want for Christmas is a scope! I have always wanted one ever since I was a little kid and have never been able to afford one. Even if I don't win, just want you to know that I so much appreciate all your hard work and your videos! I'm learning so much from you!

I scope would help with designing a power supply. But anything is appreciated.

the smell of any new equipment makes me happy

Lcr meter

James Boatright

Oscilloscope, lab bench power supply, precision DMM, function generator, they're all very useful and I want them all!

I just need a multifunction multimeter.

Dibya Jyoti Roy

Honestly most things would be great. All I have right now is a dmm and I want to practice design at home.

A scope can measure and supply happiness - pretty amazing device.

Dear Santa Mehdi, Scope is happiness. 😁

Please Santa let me have a scope :)

Anything to update my old gear, 1970-80 vintage :)

I really need a good scope to do some of the projects I have planned!

Mmm scope is sexy, scope is good, make electronics better understood. Your channel is great, your channel is fine please oh please Santa-boom make one mine!!

Da scope is everything!!

Da scope make make me happy

Oscilloscope or variable load would be great!
