High Voltage Flying Oil Experiment with Voltage Multiplier

Kreoson Channel has made some questionable tech and the flying oil seems to be one of them. Let’s make (not you, but me) a high voltage circuit and try it out.

And don't forget to:

High Voltage Flying Oil Experiment with Voltage Multiplier

Comments

i wonder if you lay the diode capacitor circuit on the table with the oil on it would you see the leaking of the charge when it pushes the oil away. might be a cool visual. and i think you convinced me to get a oscilloscope

Search on ionocraft for flying high voltage projects.

Broke Automotive engineering student needs a scope, so... gimmehh dahh medaaaa please

Hey, I need to upgrade my prehistoric dinosaur scope. I'd love the new scope. And when I say upgrade I mean get, and when I say prehistoric, I mean non existent!

Gimme da scope

Great Video as always Mehdi. I'm glad you do this kind of stuff...I don't have the brass. I have a m.o.t. but only used it once... it's scary.

Hi Mehdi I always notice your old projects behind you in your videos like the great tesla coil you made and van de graaff(btw did you realise Donald Trumps uncle worked with Van De Graaff on developing one of the first million volt x-ray generators? Fun fact........ish haha) but what is the gold thing in the frame with them? I'd like to think it's a YouTube award for reaching a target like musicians get with gold discs? :)

Pete Golding

You zapped your ass

I agree, the yellow and green traces were basically indistinguishable. I could work out what was what from Mehdi's voiceover, but that may not be the case for every viewer. Bright primary colours e.g. red/green/blue would be a better choice, or superimposed text labels if the trace colours aren't user-configurable.

*magnetohydrodynamic drive. Sorry to be "that guy" but it's one of my favourite films, couldn't let it slide... ;)

I guess for Kreosan is easier to make actual experiments than to fake it.

Coloration of the lines on the scope wasn't terribly clear. Perhaps labels over the lines or a different coloration would help if someone didn't understand what they were seeing immediately.

hi, being a noob in electonics i'm starting to build my first OP amplifier, but in order to debug it i need a scope, a keysight will certainly to the thing, and keep up the great work PS: i hope every school in the world would receive a scope, it's a very good learning tool.

I have a dso138 and am really looking for something with at least two channels, I have about a year of college left and then I'll be an engineer, I would absolutely love a keysight to help further my education.

I want to upgrade my 20$ scope D:

It would have been awesome if you made that HV wand. It would be an awesome video.

Gimme da scope πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

Minute 11:30 was hilarious!

insane video as usual , thanks for making me smarter and keeping me entertained at the same time lol :)

You should make the electrostatic drive from Hunt for Red October. (using the oil might be a lot easier than water though)

Greg

I needs a scope. So I can try to take over the world

Can you circulate oil in a tube connecting one end of the tube to positive and the other end to negative? If you make a coil in the tube can you observe something like inductance? Can you build an RLC equivalent circuit? How about a thin layer of oil in a non conducting bowl with a metal ring around the perimeter and a wire at the center as a ground. If you did the experiment with AC would you be able to create a wave effect?

Nice scope. It would be a shame if I didn't get one. :(

Your awesome good video

It scared the shit out of me when it zaped your ass.

Ahhhhhhh I made a video suggestion and it came true.
