Shield effect
Added 2017-08-28 02:39:19 +0000 UTCYou might have seen a particular green crystal featured there and there in the art of the game, even on the UI... It's not just a decorative element, its a big part of the lore.
In our multiverse, everyone, who passed through the Gateway at least once, is equipped with a special crystal that is capable of generating infinite energy, protect it's host, and give special abilities when its augmented with special modules. Not to mention it is also capable of restoring the body in case it dies for any reason, and it also heals the effects of diseases or age.
Overall, an extremely useful thing to have, no question that every player will be having it as well, it's responsible for a health bar after all.
The effect you see here is when the creature gets hit. By default the shield is invisible but it kicks in to repel any harmful direct damage or to protect the host from hazardous environments.
The colors will be customizeable per player.
