How about some Work-in-Progress things? Here is one of them!
It's a very simple sketch, a plan of the interface, which later gets refined to something like you can see in the previous post I just made.
By keeping it simple like that it allows me to iterate ideas very fast, I can make lots of changes and modifications while it's being in that sketchy form, or start over all together. The details are really just filled in by my imagination at this stage!
When artists work in big companies on graphical/design things, they are required to present their ideas to art directors and other people in charge, thus they have to spend time to polish and finalize their pictures so other people can understand them the way they intended. Heh, can't rely on your own imagination in that case, people sadly can't read minds... But honestly, this is all great, because different people get to collaborate and collectively decide on "what is better" for their product they are developing! But it also leads to lots of discarded concept art, slower iteration times, and wasted time of artists (well, technically it's all still paid).
While it works in the industry, this approach wouldn't be reasonable for our game! That's why I iterate on "napkin sketches" xD
Well, anyway, that's how the creative process goes so far! I thought it would be an interesting thing to share :}
