I find hotels so interesting, especially the ones that go out of their way to create a certain feeling. Recently, I experienced a newer hotel that did that. It's odd that not many hotels in Las Vegas give you the feeling of being in Las Vegas. It was oddly different. I loved the artwork.
One thing that was also interesting was the room elevators access. It was different in that there was no security guard and you had to swipe your room key before getting through turnstiles. But the thing that was very different was that you had to choose your floor before getting on because there was no panel inside the elevator. Afterwards, I couldn't get that idea out of my head and the fantasies started from there. What if I chose the wrong floor? What if I forgot what floor I was going to?
The thoughts crept into my dreams. The hotel is very large, so there are lots of floors. As I was standing inside, a gentleman entered from another floor. We both took notice of each other but politely averted our attention. Then, for no reason the elevator stops. How is that possible? There were no buttons to stop it. Now I'm getting nervous. My co-passenger wasn't phased. He was cool as a cucumber. I thought he must have been through this before. I asked him if he knew what was happening? He slowly turned to me and with a strange look in his eyes, he said yes. Okay, could he please elaborate? He completely turned around to face me and he said that it only happens when he wishes it to happen. I was close to tears. I didn't know what to think, but he was attractive and I was confused.
He said that he found me attractive and only wanted to ask my name and possibly my phone number. I said there were much easier ways to go about it. He just smiled and said that the intensity of the situation discarded all pretense. I only had to say to continue to get the elevator moving again or stay and continue this very unusual encounter. What was wrong with me? I wanted to ravage this man. I couldn't speak. My heart was racing and my palms were giving me away. He took one and kissed it gently. Instead of moving backwards, I moved forwards into him.
I asked what would happen if the hotel saw that something was wrong and started to fix it. He whispered not to worry, because it was his company that put the elevators in and they would be calling him. Then he smiled, kissed my neck, and started to slide my dress off my shoulder....
I'm not sure if I was thankful that this was only a dream or not, but I will be thinking about it for the rest of the day.
