Added 2022-01-19 20:41:14 +0000 UTCThis was a fun evening at Cut, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Restaurant Row inside the Venetian Resort. I must say that I have heard such great things about this restaurant and I was so excited to finally try it! The evening began with the Locked & Loaded cocktail. It's such a strange combination, that I had to talk to the server about it. Especially about the egg white and maple syrup. I was also hesitant to order it because of the Scotch, as I don't like the smokey flavor. He assured me, it was delicious and I wouldn't notice it. He was right! What he failed to mention though, was how strong it was. 😂 I guess the name should have given it away.
Appetizers started with oysters & a shrimp cocktail . The main course was a petite filet, creamed spinach and grilled asparagus. All that food and a glass of Malbec left no room for dessert. The mini ice cream treats were taken home and saved for another day!
I'm not sure the restaurant lived up to all the hype I had heard about it, or maybe I just caught them on an "off" night. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Truth be told, I am very spoiled with all the amazing restaurants that I get to enjoy in Las Vegas!
