What a sultry Whiskey Wednesday from one of the suites on the Strip. Today's choice is Macallan 12 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Double Cask. I haven't tried a lot of scotch in my life, but I must say I really enjoyed it. Very smooth and delicious. This was a recommendation from a good friend from California who also gifted me these extremely sexy heels. They just scream good Scotch, don't they?! Love them both π
Cheers!
Notes from Master of Malt:
An exciting new age statement expression from Macallan that's matured in a combination of American and European Sherry oak for a minimum of 12 years. Here, the proportion of American oak ex-Sherry casks is higher than in the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak, but no ex-bourbon casks are used as they are in the 12 Year Old Fine Oak release.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Classic dried fruit territory, if less intense than the Sherry Oak expression. Aromatic butterscotch too.
Palate: Creamy and honeyed with some thick-cut marmalade, cinnamon and warm pastries.
Finish: Fruity with vanilla and sultana
